some art of link’s cursed form- zelda’s magic is the only thing that can keep it at bay, otherwise he’ll become a mindless, rampaging beast

size comparison with the other characters- the beast form is pretty huge. even with its hunched over posture, human link only reaches up to the shoulder

early on in the story, link has a run-in with the main villain that ends in him getting turned into this. luckily for him, zelda caught up soon after and once she realized it was him she was able to use her magic to turn him back.

unfortunatelyyy the transformation is agonizing, and once he’s in this state he has the mind of an animal with no idea what’s going on. he’s confused and in pain and this makes him highly aggressive and reactive- not to mention that he can barely see with all the hair covering his eyes. he’s quick to lash out at anything that gets close

idk if you answered this but when/where on the zelda timeline your au takes place?

you know, i actually haven’t put much thought into that! to be honest, i’m not a super big fan of the timeline lore so i don’t actually remember much about it lol. although i CAN tell you that at this point in time, hyrule is in tentative peace. currently there are tensions between the different races/kingdoms, especially since the previous king of hyrule wasn’t Great and didn’t do much to foster peace in the region. small skirmishes over things like territory and resources were pretty common back then. but things are looking up nowadays :) for now :)))

saw the zelda AU!! one of us one of us. what's the thing you want to talk about most relating to it that you haven't had the chance to yet?

HIIIII i’m glad you asked! currently a lot of stuff is still in the concept stages, but one thing i’m certain of is that the main focal point of the story and “gameplay” should be the relationship between link and zelda. they meet up by chance and only stay together at all because their goals happened to align enough to go to the first dungeon together, but then link gets cursed and zelda is the only one who’s able to keep it at bay- which basically means that they’re stuck together until they can figure out a permanent solution. and that’s fortunate (or unfortunate) because at first they both find each other really annoying lmao. but as time goes on they grow to like each other and find that they both have strengths and weaknesses that compliment each other very well!

it turns out i actually have a lot to say about this right now, but i don’t want to spill all the beans juuust yet so i’m keeping the yapping to a minimum lol. thank you for the ask! ^^
