Ahhhh !!! I wish you all the luck with writing !!! I plan on really sinking my teeth into writing again this year as well !!! I put everything on pause due to---life becoming far too awful & I've finally gotten to a place where I can breathe again !!

I need to really get back into reading your old works --- they inspired me so much a few years ago when you were the only one on this goofy website who really spoke to me !!! I hope your path to writing again serves you just as well, if not better than it did before !!

I started this blog back when I was 19 years old.

It was Book of Reid then.

It filled me with so much joy for years and I made lifelong friends on here that I still talk to even now. I watched it grow to thousands of people waiting for my next post. It was overwhelming and exciting at the same time.

I turned 30 just a few weeks ago.

For the past 5 years my life changed. I met my husband. Got a dog together. Worked as a youth care worker and as a teacher. Moved to a different state. Became an incredible cook and baker.

And somehow my love and passion for writing was put on pause during that time. I was too busy for it.

I've spent the past few hours looking back at my old writing. And there was so much potential, so much talent that could have been so incredibly beautiful by now if only I had stuck to it.

I reread and see where I would have changed the wording, or where I would have gone in a different direction with plot points. It's kind of funny in a way.

This year I am going back to my roots. I am committing to writing once again. No more doomscrolling.

I don't know where I'll start, or if any of the writing will make it onto this blog at all. Tumblr in itself has changed so much since the last time I used it. It seems so foreign to me now.

Anyways, I guess I just wanted to say thank you to those who enjoyed my stories when I wrote them. It was an incredible feeling to know I made people feel any kind of emotion. What a blessing you all were.

“If you stare any harder your eyes might explode,” Mike joked as he gave Eddie a slight shove. It was enough to get him to finally break away his gaze from what had captivated him across the cafeteria.

Y/N L/N was quite possibly the most beautiful girl Eddie had ever seen, and he’d seen his fair share of pretty ladies. The stack of playboy magazines underneath his bed could attest to that. She was a senior- a popular girl, beautiful and well-liked by everyone. He didn’t know of a single jock that hadn’t taken their shot and asked her out by now. Yet, for some odd reason, she always remained single.

Maybe she was just too good for anyone from Hawkins. That much he knew was true.

“we’re not just friends and you fucking know it,” with spence pretty please

Tensions had increased. It started off gradually, just a few awkward pauses sprinkled into conversations here and there until it had turned into something worse. You no longer spoke like before, and they’d all noticed how Spencer no longer gravitated towards you. You kept your distance. They were all confused at what had caused the rift between you and Spencer.

Only JJ knew, as she was the one who had accidentally walked into the both of you. Your hands were tangled in his hair and his arms wrapped around your waist tightly, as if he feared you would step away any second. JJ had never seen so much desperation from Spencer before. His lips kissed you feverishly, as if he’d be lost without them. You would have never noticed her presence if she hadn’t bumped into the door from the surprise that filled her.

You’d hurriedly pulled away from each other, and never quite found your way back.

Spencer was frustrated. It had taken all of his courage to make the first move. Sure, maybe it had been unfortunate timing. The downstairs archive room wasn’t exactly the most private place, but he had to make a move some time. You looked too appealing then as you sorted through a box of files, and he’d taken you into his arms before his mind could register what was happening.

So, where did he go wrong? You reciprocated his kiss and fueled it with your own fire. So why did it extinguish just as suddenly as it started?

“Y/N,” Spencer called out that evening. It was late, and you’d just arrived in Quantico after a rough case in Ohio. Your body was begging for some sleep, and you were more than eager to comply.

“Yeah?” you responded as you turned back around. Your bag was in your hand, and you were ready to head home.

“Can we talk?”

“About?” you asked, slightly annoyed that Spencer had chosen now to begin a conversation. You wanted nothing more to be out of the office and in the comfort of your own apartment.

“Us,” he replied.

“There is no “us,” Spence. We made out once, that’s it. We’re friends.”

“We’re not just friends, and you fucking know it.” You were startled by the aggressiveness in his tone. He stared at you so fiercely that your body stilled. “If we were just friends, you would have pushed me away.”

“And if we were more than friends you would have said something, done something, but you haven’t. All you do is sit in your chair and send me those longing looks. I can feel them. This need rolls off of you, but you don’t address it. For once in your life Spencer, just be upfront about what you want.”

His eyes softened with hurt, and his spell on you was broken. You sighed deeply.

“I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?”

He nodded and watched you leave without another word.
