Abel looks around before actually bringing himself back to reality.

Ah- I think it is- Hm... What was that cake again...

He mutters to himself as he approached the counter to order himself a sweet treat, one that has yet to leave his mind.

Uhm... Hey uh... I forgot exactly what it was but do you have a cake that had like... 6 different flavors? I forgot what they were. I think one was lemon with raspberry jam? Can I have that one? I'm starting to crave it again...

*Celeste was busy checking the ice cooler under the counter when she heard the bell above her door ring, she broke up more of the ice that was freezing together and put her scoop on the hanger as she stood up.*

"Welcome ta the Spotted Angel Bakery, how can I heeelll..."

*Celeste's voice trails off as she looks at who stood before her. When she saw it was Abel her face lit up like a city at night her freckled shark tail started to wag.*

"Oh, oh ma lord! Abel!"

*After his name left her mouth she quickly took a deep breath and lowered her voice and adjusted her composure.*

"I'm so happy my care package reached ya and ya enjoyed it. It was mostly a mishmash of some classic and popular cakes I thought you'd like. And you're wantin the lemon one? Yeah I should have that made up. I mostly call it 'A Taste of Summer'. Fresh lemon, tart raspberries, just gives ya a nice warm taste that makes ya think of summers.*

*Celeste went to the back and brought out the mentioned cake on a crystal cake stand and a thin string hanging in her hands. Setting the stand down she took the sting, measured the cake, then quickly and cleanly cut the cake into slices. The pale pink frosting had the bits of raspberries peaking out for more color. Once it was cut she looked up at Abel.*

"Are ya wanting one slice, full box, and are ya wanting to stay for a spell or are ya too busy?"

He smiles faintly at seeing her excitement, her happiness making his day a touch brighter. Abel nods as she explained the types of cakes and the one "A taste of Summer".

I was having a hard time so it was a perfect pick me up. Thanks for that by the way... A Taste of Summer is a perfect name for it! It does give a nice warm feeling of summer.

His mouth waters a bit seeing the full cake, after Celeste brought it out. He shakes his head a bit before answering.

Ah, I'm not too busy so I'm down to stay for a bit, and one should be plenty for now. I might order the rest when I go home- Not too sure right now.

*Celeste gives a smile as she takes a cake spatula and a pretty ivory plate to put the cake slice on. The light yellow cake contrasts against the dark red raspberry jelly. The sweet and tart scent wafts from the cake as the spatula clanks on the plate.

Celeste grabs a fork as she comes out from around the counter, going to an empty table and setting down the plate and fork with a cloth napkin. When she turns to Abel she smiles and motions to the chair and now set up table.*

"Just sit and relax, and if you'd like a drink just ask, we have both cold or hot drinks."

*Celeste steps away from the table as she goes about her bakery, doing a bit of cleaning as the colors of heaven darken and deepen to the rich colors of night time. She pulls a strange black page with white printed shells bordering on the top and bottom. She props up the page with a little silver octopus. With a closer look the words on the page read.*

He sits down and nods at her, grateful that she set the table and gave him food. Abel starts eating the cake, tasting the airy cake with the rich raspberry and lemon flavor. His eyes couldn't help but roll back at just how good it tasted.

As he ate and savored the cake, he watched her do her job. The black paper caught his eye as soon as she pulled it up. Abel sets down his fork to pay attention to the sign on the octopus stand.

Huh...

Abel gathers the plate and the utensils he used, to hand to Celeste. The least he could do for taking his sweet time as she was closing shop.

Uh... gah never caught her name- Ma'am? ...

He contemplates if he should just ask the question outright.

*Celeste immediately stops wiping down the counter. The atmosphere completely froze and it seemed that the jazz record scratched and glass broke in the back. Celeste's sweet face morphed and twisted to one of suspicion and darkness.*

"I believe it's the deepest trench in the ocean. Not a place for children to even think about going. Do you have an ID to prove I can take you under."

*Her voice lost its sweet tone, the southern honey that dripped from her mouth turning bitter and black, sounding like thick tar as she spoke.

Celeste's face was like stone, one could picture her eyes turning red and shadows surrounding her body, she was not going to be moved. Even though she knows exactly who Abel is she couldn't be too sure. She exuded an intense energy as she held out her hand expecting to be given what she asked for, her eyes staring holes through Abel.*

Abel takes a moment to digest the sudden change in atmosphere. He blinks a bit then gulps.

Geez you're intimidating when you get serious-

He then shakes his head to get his bearings and pats his pockets to find the card. Then Abel digs in the pockets He bites his lip as he digs then once he found the ID, he sighs in relief.

Uh... this right?

Abel slips the ID into her hand.

*Celeste narrows her eyes as she takes the ID, she looks at all the information, the picture, name, the impression of the halo. Then she just stares at Abel criticizing everything.

Once she's satisfied with her inspection she goes to the large wall behind the counter and starts to fiddle around. A large box is opened and globular black ink that suspends itself in the air after the top is opened is then seen splashing back into the box.

Celeste takes a piece of cardstock and dips it in. After a few seconds she pulls the little card out and puts the card stock and ID together on what looked like a very old card reader. She runs two passes over the ID and cardstock. Pulling both out she returns to the counter and passes Abel his heavens ID back.*

"You are of age to end the Mariana Trench. I gift you your membership card."

*She holds up a little business card for her shop.*

"Come back anytime you see us 'closed' and present your card."

*Bambi does air quotes around closed as she continues to explain. As she pulls out a small white wand. With a flick of her thumb it shows to be just a blacklight. She runs the light across the card making the business card change.

*She flips the card over to show his membership verification. It was mostly just a colored print of his heavens ID photo.*

"It appears you're the tenth official member. It's funny the ink has not given me the first. I wonder who in heaven that could be."

*She passes Abel his membership card a neutral look on her face.*

[OOC : I'm so sorry this took so long to get too, I hand drew and colored these and I'm just getting back into drawing due to the wonderful people I'm in a group chat with(you all know who you are). And since I'm trying to get back into drawing this took forever because of my mood. But I have the master's from the main card and then I just need to make individual backs now. 🌞 A capped cherub fluttered in and quietly closed the door behind him. Heaven was so large and vast, and yet no matter where you went it felt familiar. Just a little whisper of a mention he was able to find this shop, oh did it smell heavenly, warmed to his little hollow bones.

" oh I'm hungry already ~. Hello? I heard from a group of cloud maids that this bakery has special pan au chocolate."

*Celeste hears the little shell bell above the door ring, turning to the door she sees the capped cherub. With a smile she makes her way to the counter wiping her hands on her apron.*

"Welcome to the Spotted Angel Bakery, so glad ya came, a pan au chocolate is whatcha orderin? I can get ya that. Feel free to take a seat and enjoy the atmosphere if ya like."

*Celeste smiles, her southern twang peaking through as she put on a pair of white gloves, grabbed her tongs and pulled out a fresh pan au chocolate from the case with many different treats and breads on display. She grabbed a small lavender bag, flicked it open with a soft 'thwack' of the paper and put the still warm pastry into it. Folding up the top to keep it warm and fresh and placing a sticker featuring the bakery logo; a cartoon whale shark, to keep it closed. She set the bag by the register and looked to the cherub with a sweet smile.*

"Anythang else I can get for ya, honey?"

Every motion she did was well practiced with a lovely flare. He graciously took the bag and held it out. "A very cute logo and name." He praised eyed the drink station. "What sort of drinks do you recommend? I haven't been on this side of the clouds in some time." He said looked back down at the bag. "Did you design this yourself?"

*Celeste took off her gloves and tapped her chin as she thought of all the drinks offer.*

"Whell, we sell the usual warm drinks, and juices, seasonal the juices can come warm. We also sell coffee beans and tea blends if you prefer to make ya own at home."

*Celeste delicately motions to a wall with a bunch of small bags on shelves two signs reading 'Coffee' and 'Tea'. A large stereo looking record player sits as soft jazz music plays.*

"If ya need me to I don't mind milling your coffee beans, I know not ev'ryone wants to do that, or just don know how."

*Celeste smiles back at the capped cherub.*

"I'm partial to sweet coffee, apple cider, and lemonades myself, but I know that's ev'ryones cupa tea. As for all the stuff related to my bakery I try to design, but I don't think my hands got the knack for it at da moment. I also happily allow artists to display their work if they like."

*Celeste motions to some of the mugs and vases on the counter.*

"And fore you ask, no I don't charge display fees or take profits from the artists. They get every penny."

"oh~!" He fluttered to where she gestured, "How about a warm apple cider? A little out of season when it comes to earth, but no one ever said warmth and spice was only for winter." He requested softly with a smile. His eyes trailed the decorated walls and colorful designs that were nestled all throughout.

"Wow! What a dream set up." He said tapping a little bell bauble that was nearby. "I've seen set ups like this scattered around Earth, its so nice to see it also in Heaven. You have quite the vision Miss...." He trailed, his tail flicked and he lifted his hat, his halo illuminating the inside dome of his cap. "My name is Warbie, Warbie Reed. What's your name?"

*Celeste smiles at the cherub and does a little curtsy.*

"Well Warbie, I'm Celeste. As for warm som warm apple cider I got all da spices ready just been experimenting with peaches at the moment, mostly cause it reminds me a home. I'll gladly offa up a sample for ya. Just a small warning I havn't perfected it yet."

*Celeste takes a small paper cut with her stirring a ladle in a a small of her test batch of warm peach cider.*

"Really? Well thank ya, I grew up on earth. Born on the Georgia coast and lots a time with my Nanny an Papa during them summers."

*Celeste made polite conversation with Warbie as she scooped a small amount of the warm peach cider into a sample cup, a cinnamon stick and fresh nutmeg could be seen and smelt from the warm light amber liquid. She placed the cup on the counter with a lid to keep it warm.*

"Here's a smoll sample to keep you occupied as I get my pot ready, shouldn't take to long, I got a batch started last night ta taste against the peach one this mornin. Just gotta bring it up to tempature. An in the mean time why don't cha take a load off."

*Celeste points to a seating area close to the large window. Cream and pastel orange sofas, white oak wood chairs with soft blue cushions for comfort. And tables with dark stained southern live oak.*

"oh~! I haven't heard that name in a long time! Its a pleasure, Ms. Celeste. Peach you say?" His tail bobbed with curiosity. "May I? That sounds lovely and summery!" He watched her as she professionally poured and added her flourishes to the cup. With his cup and pastry in hand, he nodded and gave his thanks and settled onto a cushion. The paper snapped opened with a crackle and the rich warm smell of the chocolate enveloped his senses like a warm hug, and with his first bite a silver golden flash of light rippled through his tail feathers. It was so rich , buttery and the perfect ratio of soft and crispy! "mmm~!" He moaned with delight as he reached over his cup of peach cider. Opening the lid sent a refreshing chill through him, like a the sudden squall of a summer thunder storm that sank though his feathers, and was quickly chased away but the warm and sweet kiss of the peach cider. He kicked his little feet, and rested the tip of his beak in the hot liquid. "This tastes like dreams and memories~!"

*Celeste smiles at the cute cherub as she takes out a hammered copper colored pitcher from an icebox. She set the pitcher onto the burner and set the fire to a low burn. She was just warming up the cider. As the pitcher warmed she took some time to clean up a bit.

As the cider warmed its sweet fruity aroma with the warm blend of spices filled the air. Celeste washed her hands then took a quick sniff of the warming cider. With a hum she opened a cabinet pulling out a small jar with vanilla bean pods.*

"Let's try adding these."

*With delicate precision she grabs a small knife and opens the pod. Scrapping the seeds then from one pod and tapping them into the mixture then gently adding the rest of the pod to steep in the warming cider.*

"Just a bit longer just to infuse then it should be ready for a quick taste test."

*Her voice was soft as she spoke to herself. She took a fresh ladle and stirred the cider. Taking a quick sniff she grabbed a tasting spoon she took a sip and hummed at the flavor. The taste was so good it made her tail swish in utter happiness.*

"Perfect!"

*Celeste took the warmed cider off the burner. Taking a cup from the counter she took the cup to set in front of Warbie. She poured the cider into the cup, the color a soft red instead of its amber color.*

"Here you are, warm apple cider. I know the color isn't normal but I used Mountain and Pacific Rose apples. The mountain rose has a blush colored flesh. And the usual spice blend, cinnamon, nutmeg, all spice. I infused some vanilla too. The perfect blend of cider that's a bit more tart but the vanilla helps mellow it out and a wonderful smoothness. I hope you enjoy."

"oh~!" He fluttered to where she gestured, "How about a warm apple cider? A little out of season when it comes to earth, but no one ever said warmth and spice was only for winter." He requested softly with a smile. His eyes trailed the decorated walls and colorful designs that were nestled all throughout.

"Wow! What a dream set up." He said tapping a little bell bauble that was nearby. "I've seen set ups like this scattered around Earth, its so nice to see it also in Heaven. You have quite the vision Miss...." He trailed, his tail flicked and he lifted his hat, his halo illuminating the inside dome of his cap. "My name is Warbie, Warbie Reed. What's your name?"

*Celeste smiles at the cherub and does a little curtsy.*

"Well Warbie, I'm Celeste. As for warm som warm apple cider I got all da spices ready just been experimenting with peaches at the moment, mostly cause it reminds me a home. I'll gladly offa up a sample for ya. Just a small warning I havn't perfected it yet."

*Celeste takes a small paper cut with her stirring a ladle in a a small of her test batch of warm peach cider.*

"Really? Well thank ya, I grew up on earth. Born on the Georgia coast and lots a time with my Nanny an Papa during them summers."

*Celeste made polite conversation with Warbie as she scooped a small amount of the warm peach cider into a sample cup, a cinnamon stick and fresh nutmeg could be seen and smelt from the warm light amber liquid. She placed the cup on the counter with a lid to keep it warm.*

"Here's a smoll sample to keep you occupied as I get my pot ready, shouldn't take to long, I got a batch started last night ta taste against the peach one this mornin. Just gotta bring it up to tempature. An in the mean time why don't cha take a load off."

*Celeste points to a seating area close to the large window. Cream and pastel orange sofas, white oak wood chairs with soft blue cushions for comfort. And tables with dark stained southern live oak.*

🌞 A capped cherub fluttered in and quietly closed the door behind him. Heaven was so large and vast, and yet no matter where you went it felt familiar. Just a little whisper of a mention he was able to find this shop, oh did it smell heavenly, warmed to his little hollow bones.

" oh I'm hungry already ~. Hello? I heard from a group of cloud maids that this bakery has special pan au chocolate."

*Celeste hears the little shell bell above the door ring, turning to the door she sees the capped cherub. With a smile she makes her way to the counter wiping her hands on her apron.*

"Welcome to the Spotted Angel Bakery, so glad ya came, a pan au chocolate is whatcha orderin? I can get ya that. Feel free to take a seat and enjoy the atmosphere if ya like."

*Celeste smiles, her southern twang peaking through as she put on a pair of white gloves, grabbed her tongs and pulled out a fresh pan au chocolate from the case with many different treats and breads on display. She grabbed a small lavender bag, flicked it open with a soft 'thwack' of the paper and put the still warm pastry into it. Folding up the top to keep it warm and fresh and placing a sticker featuring the bakery logo; a cartoon whale shark, to keep it closed. She set the bag by the register and looked to the cherub with a sweet smile.*

"Anythang else I can get for ya, honey?"

Every motion she did was well practiced with a lovely flare. He graciously took the bag and held it out. "A very cute logo and name." He praised eyed the drink station. "What sort of drinks do you recommend? I haven't been on this side of the clouds in some time." He said looked back down at the bag. "Did you design this yourself?"

"Whell, we sell the usual warm drinks, and juices, seasonal the juices can come warm. We also sell coffee beans and tea blends if you prefer to make ya own at home."

"If ya need me to I don't mind milling your coffee beans, I know not ev'ryone wants to do that, or just don know how."

*A little pastel whale shark angel flutters her small wings as she pulls a wagon full of mint green boxes. A piece of paper in her hand that she's looking at repeatedly.*

"Is this'a prank? There's no darn way thee Seraphim ordared from my my bakery."

*She spoke under she breath in a soft southern accent. She just continued to flutter down the halls a bit lost.*

Sera opened the door to the hallway just as the baker nearly passed it.
