“I brought you coffee” is a love language.
Think about it.
"I brought you coffee," early in the morning at work. You care about this coworker enough to bring them a pick-me-up for an arduous day ahead. It leaves them thinking about you. Bonus points if you somehow knew their exact order.
"I brought you coffee," seeing a roommate struggling to finish schoolwork or a presentation for work. They stay up too late no matter how many times you tell them to go to sleep, so you do what you can to help them stay awake.
"I brought you coffee," after you snuck out while your partner is still asleep in bed. You pick up breakfast and a cup of coffee for them so they can wake up to things prepared and ready to start your partner's day off with an act of kindness.
"I brought you coffee," as a peace offering. Maybe to someone who you've had rough patches with. Maybe with someone you've been drifting from. Maybe someone who you once loved. Coffee as a reconnection.
