How are Professors Chosen?
I was doing the first myth school quest for Fiona and I talked to Ivan.
He just looks so done with Cyrus. He also reads like he is tired of Cyrus.
This made me wonder. How are professors chosen? Are the trees for the school involved at all?
I would think that they would have to be. It is not like that the trees can leave if they have a falling out with the professor of their school. Who mediates that? Bartlby and Ambrose?
Just things to ponder.
Battle Etiquette
I know that not everyone agrees, but I think it is inherently rude to just join a battle without asking. While I was playing as Fiona I saw some drama go down in a battle nearby. One player joined and the other player told them to not be rude. The player that joined then proceeded to tell the other player that they were being silly and that it was a game and that anyone could join a battle whenever.
I was explaining why this was a conversation to Sarai’s player when lo and behold it happened to us.
I did not say anything to the player. They were obviously young and new to the game. The really annoying part was that they followed us around for a while. Sarai and Fiona did not start any battles during that time. We mostly talked about what quest we wanted to do privately. This player never said anything, they just seemed to think that they could follow us around and join all of our battles.
If you are new to the game, please ask before joining a battle. Also, don’t follow other players around hoping to join all of their battles.
This is a personal opinion, of course. But I think that I am not alone in it.
Fiona Shadowcrafter Level 9
Fiona Shadowcrafter is currently a level 9.
Still not fond of the look. But I know that it will change eventually.
The Wizard of Oz or Tin Man
I’m not sure how many people really remember the Tin Man miniseries that SyFy aired in 2007. If you haven’t seen it, you are missing out.
I know the quest is probably based on the books and not the miniseries. But Dorothy looks a lot like DG to me.
Fiona and Sarai Outside of Battle
I did not get many, but I did get a few screenshots of Fiona’s travels with Sarai.
Of course I had to get one in the Wizard City Library. Sarai’s player and I share a love of libraries.
Battle Quirks
I noticed a few funny moments while playing and I thought it would be fun to post about.
Sarai’s wand is invisible for some reason. It was like that for most of that day. They could not see my wand either.
When you are going to defeat a creature in the current turn and a second creature enters the battle, they share a space until the first one dramatically kicks it.
I have no idea how I go this screen shot during a battle. You can clearly see Sarai and the battle ring. But I think I love it.
Fiona and Sarai Battles
Because the first several quests involve a lot of battling, I am just going to dump a bunch of the Battle images here.
They are kind of all over the place. But I was having so much fun playing with someone else that I did not get many screenshots outside of battle.
Fiona’s First Myth Quest
As a myth wizard, Fiona has to work with Cyrus Drake. That means a little extra in the running around on fool’s errands. But he always comes around, even if it is begrudgingly.
That is an impressive amount of cranky in one expression.
Fiona Shadowcrafter Tidbits
I had a bundle that I redeemed. I am not thrilled with the look, but I love the cards it gives for now. You can’t even see her rainbow hair!
She has a matching mount with my friend.
She is a myth wizard.
She plays through with her friend Sarai Starheart.
The Carousel
While waiting around, Fiona decided to try the Carousel. I don’t remember doing that before. It is nice that it gives 3 different view options.
Fiona’s Dorm
I forgot to catch the first look at a dorm room with Sabrina, but I remembered for Fiona.
I like that they leave it pretty basic so that you can make it your own from the start. I know that my friend that is playing with Fiona likes that option too.
Castle Things
I did a quest as Sabrina that involved adding a switch to your castle that turns a statue invisible. I do not remember that one from the last time I played regularly. I did think it was interesting though. Maybe this time around I will do more with my castles.
Introducing Fiona Shadowcrafter
True to form, I could not wait too long to start another character. This time though, I am playing through with a friend of mine that I introduced to the game recently. So, brace for some of the places that my other wizard, Sabrina has been through.
I didn’t really care about hair because I am getting her rainbow hair, of course. And I didn’t do much with her eyes because she is getting glasses too.
Last time I played through, I kept the same first name for every character. This time it is hair and glasses.
Marleybone - Stray Cats
I ahven’t finished it yet, but so far my favorite quest in Marleybone is looking for the Stray Cats. I hope you were sitting down for that shocking revelation.
Marleybone may not have a library, but at least it still has a seek and find to do while you play through.
O’Leary Battle
I think it is hilarious that there is a solid percentage of the population of Marelybone that is cats. It just amuses me that they run the underworld in a world run by dogs.
Sherlock Bones
Truthfully, the only thing better than the fact that there is a Sherlock character is that your character gets to help him. If only my middle school self could have done that too.
