PA Speed Limit Could Increase to 70 MPH
Pennsylvania state senator Joe Scarnati said that he will soon introduce legislation to allow higher maximum speeds on interstates.
This would change the maximum allowable speed limit from 65 mph to 70 mph.
34 other states currently allow at least 70 mph, with 16 of those topping a speed limit of 75 mph.
The new proposal would not mandate the higher speed limit, and the speeds would not be increased without the backing of highway department studies.
