In any other situation, Eli would have laughed at her outburst but now he didn’t. Yet a smile was plastered on his face. “I never knew, if I had noticed I would definitely not have waited this long to tell you about the way I felt.” He did recall maybe a thing or two that could have made it obvious, but he blamed it on his own feelings and his irrational thinking because of it. “I was jealous, I just didn’t think it was good to bother you with my feelings, now that seems like a silly thought of course.” Eli smiled and locked his arms around her smaller form. “It certainly does.”

Her miles grows bigger after hearing about his feelings. She felt a little relieved. “You know I was almost about to give up. You weren’t showing any signs so I thought that maybe it was better for me if I moved on. But I’m so glad that you told me about your feelings.” Joohee leans in slightly, resting her forehead against his and smiled, looking into his eyes. “This moment.. seems so perfect. I don’t want it to end.”

He hummed as she spoke, placing soft kisses against her cheek as she did. “Quite frankly, I didn’t know how you’d react. Especially not since you told me earlier that you had a crush.. I didn’t realise that could have been me.” Running his fingers through her hair, he nodded again. “It certainly was unexpected, I’ve never thought we’d end up like this.” He motioned to the little space there was between them. “I like it.”

“I’ve dropped so many hints, pabo!” She hits his chest. “I would watch for your reaction but you were didn’t look jealous at all.” Her gaze fell to the ground as Eli ran his fingers through her hair. “I never thought we would end up like this either..” She lifts her head to look at his face and cups his cheeks. “I like it too, I feels right.”

Eli smiled against her lips, snaking her arms around her waist again and pulling her closer to his body. “You have no idea how amazing it feels to hear you say that.” He murmured, smiling at her. His eyes holding a sparkle in them as he looked down at her. Brushing some hair out of her face and letting his hand brush against her cheek in the process. “This evening couldn’t have been more perfect.”

“I’ve waited so long for this moment. I was so scared that you wouldn’t feel the same way. I will never forget this night.” She pulls him closer with her chin on his shoulder. Her head tilts slightly to kiss his neck. “It feels weird.. in a good way of course! We’ve been best friends for 5 years and now.. now we’re in your training room, kissing. It’s crazy.” She chuckles as she tightens her grip around him.

He moved both hands to cup her face as he pressed his lips harder against hers when she didn’t pull away, it only fueled his sudden confidence. Keeping his eyes closed when he pulled away only slightly, he rested his forehead against hers. And for a moment he was silent, thinking over what he had just done. Maybe it wasn’t necessary but Eli felt like he had to say the words, he was the one to break the silence with a simple four words. “I really like you.”

The kiss made her feel numb. But in a good way. She had been waiting for this moment for a while now. When he broke the kiss, she was scared of what would happen next. But after those four words, she became more at ease. Her feelings for Eli had developed a while back but she had just recently admitted it to herself. She was afraid that if she told him about her feelings, it would ruin their friendship. A friendship that had lasted for 5 years. Her hand hooked around his neck and pulled him in for another kiss. “I like you too, pabo.” She said with a bright smile.

He had to admit that he was nervous and his heart was beating much faster than it probably should. After all, in his eyes facing a demon was easier than telling the girl you like about your feelings. But this was him manning up. 

“Close your eyes.” He said in a gentle voice, the smile still in place. In his head he was running over the words he could possibly say but in the moment itself his mind was almost blank. He brought the tiara up to her head and gently placed it there. “Every prom needs a queen.” He muttered before cupping her cheek, leaning in and gently brushing his lips against hers.

Joohee does as he says and closes her eyes in order to get the surprise. She feels something being placed on her head. As she feels for what it was, her eyes open, finding Eli leaning in for a kiss. 

She was definitely not expecting a kiss from Eli, but she liked it. His lips were soft. Her eyes fluttered closed with her hand on the tiara to keep it in place as she tilted her head slightly at an angle.
