I love Castiel, I like Crowley, and one or two other obscure characters on SPN.
I hate with passion what SPN's assassination of Castiel's character, how they reduced and degraded him and stripped him of all his brilliance and power in order to glorify the designated (human) heroes of the show.
And I see this as a part of the core SPN narrative of human-supremacy and "(my) family first" value.
It seems obvious to me that this human-supremacy is also a fantasy version of US-supremacy, which is to say, in 2025 2026 I hate that narrative and its heroes more than ever. Intrinsically, I also hate the human centric lens, even without the real-life mirror.
I hate all the Winchesters, Dean in particular, and I have come to despise the entire show. I don't care about any other recurring characters any more either.
Please block me if you find my opinions upsetting.

Yes I am a fan of "earnest crowstiel": I "ship" them as in "friendship" of mutual understanding and respect, and to me that's the highest form of relationship.
Yep I know my anti-Dean, pro-Cas take is very unpopular
Somehow I feel the need for this announcement: I don't really like angels (I never thought about them other than passing awareness that they are common theme of sculptures and figurines) outside of the stupid show.
Saw this in a cemetery. At first glance I thought those were bullet holes on her chest, that someone IRL has also seen fit to exert their self-entitled dominion over whatever they wanted. Upon closer inspection, it was just some dirt.
One thing I’ve been thinking about that’s probably already been said 10 years ago is how cas said he tried to speak to dean in his real voice when they first met because “certain people, special people, can perceive it. [He] thought [Dean] would be one of them”.
Which is an interesting implication because the only people I can think of that might be able to do that would be one of the angels’ true vessels or a prophet (maybe). So like? Did Cas assume Dean was a distant relative of jimmy’s or did he assume he was a prophet? Lol. Idk, we always talk about how confused Dean was when meeting cas but I think it’s funny how confused cas must’ve been about Dean, considering how in the dark heaven kept the soldier angels.
reaction as spiteful bitter Cas fan: I am just glad that Cas thought Dean was special and realized he wasn't. Good for him. Then of course everything went downhill from here.
reaction as soft bitter Cas fan: Castiel has such capacity for love and empathy that although he perceived correctly that Dean was not special, he continued to help, support, and even admire Dean just the way he was.
reaction as analytical bitter Cas fan: Though I am fairly sure the show meant for this "not special" bit to support the "Dean is salt of the earth and 100% red-blooded human man who is not corruptable by sinister angelic power" narrative.
So I had this thought: what if Castiel took a bird as vessel, and then needs to reveal that he is an angel? Would he still flare those shadow wings? Do the other birds just go... "fffftttt, big deal"
I love your SPN art so much!! If it isn't a problem can I ask for tips on how you draw them, mainly facial expressions or hair? I'm having a bit of trouble with drawing live action characters hair for some reason. Thank you! keep up the great work!

I've been thinking for a long time about what advice I could give. The simplest advice is to observe the actors.
We're lucky that the actors in "Supernatural" are great at facial expressions and, for the most part, don't change their hairstyles much.
I took Mark Sheppard's image and adapted it to my style. I tried to maintain the oval face, wide-set eyes, neat nose, and the short, sparse hair xD
