'Alien: Awakening' Could Return to Alien Home World, If It Gets Made at All

The propsoed Alien Covenant sequel, Alien Awakening, would return to LV-426 and pit David against the Engineers. But it might never happen.

All I have to say after years hoping Blomkamp’s project wil get made is: this is so boring. Ridley, pass the torch or we will fall asleep.

Also no more David’s stories, who cares.

Aliens (1986) - Batch 1 Today Al Matthews (Sergeant Apone) died. He was 75. He will be indeed missed. I decided to make a batch of Aliens gifs in his honor.

Jesus, how bad is the new Jurassic World?

Completely ruined everything. And I liked the one from 2015 (thought it was a nice nod the Jurassic Park) but this one is just a movie for kids and annoying and boring. Also wow, you showed as Ian Malcom for a whole minute.

Neil Blomkamp making a new Robocop movie

So today the news broke that Blomkamp will be making Robocop 2 and my opinion on the matter is this: do you even remember when last Robocop was made a few years ago? I barely do. Was it a hit? Definitely not a critical acclaimed hit but made some money but that’s just what it is, some people would go to see whatever. Do we need a sequel? I’m not gonna waste my time even watching the last one (sorry Gary Oldman) as it was already unnecessary for it to be made and I will definitely not give a damn about a sequel. Blomkamp please expande your theme in the movies or you will be only making robot movies till the end of time (District 9, Elysium, Chappie) and do something else, people are not gonna take you seriously. There is no actor in this world who would make this movie interesting to me. Zero. Finally, for the billionth time, Hollywood studios, spend your money in original scripts and ideas ‘cause clearly movies and movie culture in general is going straight down to hell. There’s almost no original content anymore, there’s only Marvel and DC and sequels and remakes and comedies with no signs of human intelligence.

For the last 5-6 years I’ve been making my list of my top 20 movies of the year but it’s been already a few years now that it’s very difficult to even list that many decent movies. Mo much monotony and everything is a copy of a copy of a copy now.

Hulu, HBO and Netflix, save us with your tv series as movies are dying if not already dead.

I was thinking about posting this for a while so here it is. These are my favorite shows right now, not in a specific order but worth a mention :) So check these shows out if you haven’t yet, they are worth your time :)

7. Parks and Rec (even if it already ended, this is my favorite comedic show of all time and I’m rewatching it for the third time so I put it here :) )

It is not a secret, I posted before about disliking kids in general but if you refer to the post I wrote about A Quiet Place, you must admit the kids were not the best thing about the movie, were they?

I do like movies where kids are not playing the usual dumb roles of ‘‘oh, he’s a kid, so you know he must do stupid things and act stupidly’‘

A Quiet Place (2018) review

It was a good movie but nothing outstanding in my opinion. Emily Blunt was great but do we need a sequel? No.

Also stupid kids in horror movies.

Another thing. Just tell me why do all the monsters in horror movies and tv from the past 10 years always look so alike? I mean are the same people drawing the monsters since Cloverfield (2008)? (I know many monsters look sort of alike even from the 00s, like the monster from Pitch Black and even some from the 80s and 90s but those I think can stand alone, I’m talking here about horror movies from the past 10 years, where everytime there’s a monster in a movie, it just looks the same) Just make something that people will remember and not always these skeleton-thin, tall, reptile-like, Xenomorph-like monsters with weird faces/ mouths. Make something new and exciting already. I mean look:

Demogorgon from Stranger Things (this one actually already became pretty memorable in today’s cult pop culture but I put it for a comparison)

13 Reasons Why S02

SPOILERS!

I finished S02 last night and I already talked about the first 6 episodes in another post, so I’m gonna talk about the second half of S02.

Well of course we will need a S03 because there are still a lot of stories that could be told but at this point I don’t think that Hannah will come back even as a ghost, since we see her leave and her story sort of ended now.

I know there have been many discussions about how grafic was Hannah’s suicide but to me what happened to Tyler was even more disturbing and made me feel sick. Already the beating was enough for me (and I watch lots of horror movies and saw quite a few disturbing things in tv shows and movies). Since it’s just a show, I was kind of cheering that Tyler would lose his shit and kill some people but not at the dance. Find Montgomery and the others and shoot them personally, don’t kill half your school and then yourself. That Montgomery already in first season showed he was sort of even worst than Bryce but here he was just too much. At least we know Bryce is human trash loudly and clearly as he thinks he’s the king of the world and his rich ass can’t take no for an answer...but this dude is a whole another level of cruelty. I hope he will get what he deserves in S03.

Alltogether, I did not like S02 even half as much as S01, which to me was just so much better by very different aspects.

What did you guys think about S02? And what do you think will happen in S03 if we get one? What will be the stories?

Even tho in my opinion some character shifted too much from S01 to S02 and were now all apologetic, while they were stil very selfish at the end of S01 (especially Courtney, but Jessica, Ryan and Zach too), I liked this scene.
