Our restoration team selected a plush, velveteen fabric that feels soft and cozy against the skin. The neutral taupe color contrasts smartly against the deep orange patina of the decades old solid teakwood. This ribbon of contoured teak flows along the front, sides and back to engage the eye as one gazes over the form.

Rare 1950s Gio Ponti armchairs made by Cassina in limited quantities for the Augustus Ocean Liner. They come with the expertise from the Gio Ponti archives. Two have been upholstered in a light gray fabric and two are still with the original fabric. The legs are walnut. Mid-Century Modern.

Mushroom Set by Pierre Paulin Produced by Artifact

A mushroom set composed of one armchair and an ottoman with a steel tube frame, covered with orange fabric. Designed by Pierre Paulin (Paris, 1927 - Montpellier, 2009). Edited by Artifort. With the Mushroom chairs, Pierre Paulin's objective was to create a colorful and comfortable version of a throne. This model is most commonly covered with brightly colored fabrics reflecting the designer's playful approach and highlighting its original shape Artifort still includes many of Paulin’s designs dating from the nineteen-sixties and seventies in its permanent collection. Pierre Paulin's work can be admired in museums throughout the world such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Apart from furniture, he also designed interiors for the French presidents Pompidou and Mitterrand in the Elysée Palace in Paris.

Danish Modern Lounge Chair

A single Selig lounge chair has a dark frame of stained beech and dove grey bouclé upholstery. The open back of the chair show the integrated backrest from either side. The matching upholstered armrests appear to float over the chair frame. The red Selig medallion is concealed under the seat cushion. The design incorporates some visible hardware in an appropriately patinated brass. Condition: Excellent restored condition. The wooden frame has been cleaned and polished. The upholstery has been redone in grey bouclé material and the Danish Rotex straps have been replaced. Scandinavian Modern, Stained Beech, Boucle, Brass.
