Idk Linda seems like someone really naive that has been with some guys due to her nice look, she is intelligent at school but dumb in social settings so gets "taken advantage" by situations that she cant understand, Stephen her best friend is really protective of her with other mens. On the other hand Stephen cant understand why he doesnt like like girls, so he took that chance, so that his mother is satisfied.

I think she is one of those people who are heavily christians, and that think that self pleasure its a form of sinning. So this is an after doing it and she is praying for redemption, but the light of God that filters inside her room isnt going on her face because even if she prays she feels dirty, like she hasn't really found redemption even though God and everyone would think its normal.

The thing gives her so shame that she covered a picture on the nightstand (the big one is just to recognize the character) and thats all
