Foosackly's Chicken Fingers
Since this is my first review I guess I should get started.
I've been meaning to do this for a while and I was having a hard time figuring out what I should review first. Then I thought Foosackly's would be a perfect choice for one it was the newest chicken place i was introduced to since I moved out here to Mobile. So i think its perfect for this blog.
Now a little background for people not in the Mobile, Alabama area. Foosackly's is a chicken finger chain exclusive to the Mobile area I think the closest comparison that is widespread is Zaxby's.
Before we get to the chicken lets look at the sides. Now this part of the review will not really impact the review too much but i think it's important that good chicken fingers have good sides. The fries they give you are standard crinkle-cut fries they are very moderately salted, but really lack any unique flavor. Now that that's out of the way lets get to the meat of the matter on how it tastes.
The breading is pretty good its not too hard that it prevents me from not being able to get to the meat. The problem arises when I actually stop and taste the chicken instead of just tasting the meat. The problem is there is no taste all i taste is chicken no seasoning or flavor of any kind. The only reason i can find that they use no seasoning is I believe to be because they think that everyone just puts sauce on their chicken anyways so why bother. Only up til a year ago the only thing close to a sauce i would eat was ketchup, until I tried what is called Foo sauce. While the sauce is pretty tasty it becomes kind of overbearing and I go back to eating the plain flavorless chicken.
So to tie things up i'll just do a little summation before giving my verdict. Foosackly's is very moderately priced at $8 for a 7 piece combo. While lacking on the flavor side the chicken fingers are decent enough to pass. If you're in the neighborhood and you cant find a Zaxby's close by Foosackly's isn't your worst choice. I give it a
3/5
