Question time here again, as an outsider to the series, what us Bronwyn's name meaning?
Hi!
I always love getting questions from you :D
I have a small list of female names that I just love and swore would one day use for an OC. Samantha, Esme, Imogene, and Bronwyn. I used Samantha a longggggg time ago in my CSI:NY stuff over on ff.net, and Esme started as an OC for Thor but became the OC for Tyler.
Bronwyn (her husband calls her Winnie and she absolutely hates it and he does it to antagonize her) is of Welsh origin. This is what I found about the name:
Bronwyn is a variant of the Welsh feminine name Bronwen/Branwen, literally meaning "White Raven (or Crow)" or, abstractly, "White Breast" (from bran, raven, and bron ("breast") and [g]wen ("white, fair, blessed)".[1] Because the suffix -wyn is grammatically masculine in Welsh, Bronwyn is a spelling generally only used for female names in the English-speaking world outside Wales.
OOOOOOH okay! this is so cool! Thank you for answering!
Anytime! I’ve hearing from you :)

@youflickedtooharddamnit This is exactly how I see him when Bronwyn goes to his room to thank him for sticking up for her and she gets flustered and he teases her "My eyes are up here." lol
What did Bronwyn and Jack think of each other when they first met?
Thank you🥰😍😘
Thank YOU!!
She definitely thought 'holy fck, he's a giant' lol and that he was probably all brawn, and no brains.
He thought that she was quiet and 'snobbish', and soon learned that she was that way whenever her husband was around her, because he expected her to be silent and submissive and do nothing but serve as a trophy on his arm to put on a good show for the voters and the public in general.
Big reminder, folks, that many people, especially veteran writers, are locking their fics nowadays, which means if you don't have an account, you can't see the full library of AO3 and are missing out on a lot of good work. Please go sign up for an account! It's well worth it, and you are missing out on a LOT by not having it.

Possible Trigger Warnings: Abuse, body horror, codependency, Gore, murder, psychological trauma, religious trauma
It’s a strange, incredibly bittersweet feeling to finally see the finish line of a section of a timeline you’ve been weaving for nearly three decades.
I created Bianca back in 1997. Originally, she was a human scientist meant to fit a specific, tragic mold: the 'woman in the fridge' who loved Sephiroth before Nibelheim, only to meet her end at his hands. For years, her narrative shifted as the Compilation expanded and my writing evolved (as well as the inclusion of other ocs with her name). She evolved through Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, and Advent Children, each era bringing a different iteration of her to life.
But in 2020, with the release of Remake, everything changed. The narrative fractured, and I began the massive undertaking of reworking her bio to fit this new, shifting reality. I’ve spent the last six years actively building, layering, and expanding this specific iteration through Rebirth and into the newly announced Revelation.
Watching the Revelation trailer and seeing those heavy, apocalyptic religious allegories was a surreal moment of alignment. For years, FWC (Fantasy Worlds Collide) has treated the FF7 arc not just as a JRPG storyline, but as a Biopunk Science Fantasy and Apocalyptic Mythpunk epic. Seeing the official media lean so heavily into those grand, divine, and world-ending motifs felt like looking at a mirror of what FWC has always been: a story where corporate sci-fi is completely infected by cosmic, biblical-scale horror.
In FWC, the standard canon events are just the stage for something much vaster. Bianca isn't just a victim; she is a Fallen Angel—a Celestial stuck in a human vessel, the Light half to Sephiroth's soul bound by the agonizing noose of the Filum Aeternum (the Red String of Fate).
The trailer’s overtones of divine tragedy and fated ruin map perfectly onto her journey: from the "Seven-Day Sacrament" in the Nibelheim basement, to the horrific body horror of Hojo’s Project Nephilim, to her eventual transformation into the ruthless Matriarch of Rebirth.
Now, knowing that Spring 2027 will mark the final expansion of the FF7 arc in the Main Verse of Fantasy Worlds Collide, a strange sadness has settled in.
For so long, the broader universe of FWC (Fantasy Worlds Collide) was built on time-travel and space shenanigans—a way to merge her original concepts.
But the anchor for this new arc has always been Sephiroth-Prime. The Sephiroth who evolved from the Remake trilogy, stepping into the multiversal arc with the singular, obsessive fixation of piecing Bianca back together. It’s the ultimate irony of FWC’s narration. You can never truly trust the story being told, because it’s him controlling the narrative, painting himself as the tragic savior of a codependent bond while he is murdering the Biancas in the other AUs and ripping out the red string of those universes' Sephiroth.
To realize that the definitive ending points for this specific FF7 timeline are finally in sight is emotional. Unless we get unexpected side games or further media down the line, this era of rewriting and reshaping this particular arc of FWC is drawing to a close next spring.
It is monumental to look back at a character who started as a tragic footnote in 1997 and realize she has become the axis upon which a multiversal epic turns.
To everyone who has read, reblogged, commented, or cheered Bianca and Sephiroth on through this current iteration. Thank you for walking this incredibly long, winding road with me. The end of the arc is coming, and I'm ready to weave these final pieces together, but I'm also sad about it.
I also don't know why this feels so different from the other rewrites? It feels final?
Fantasy Worlds Taglist: (+ / -) please let me know if you would like to be added or removed from the list by a DM or an ask. (even if this has nothing to do with FWC lol).

Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher REACHER - Season 2 (2023)
Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher Reacher Season 2, Episode 2 "What Happens in Atlantic City"
Yeah, I'm watching Reacher for the plot...only for the plot. 😳👀
*thanks to OP for these glorious gifs*
if u are reading this i am pouring positive vibes on u from a lil watering can
Okay third question, am I hallucinating or was Tom Cruise at some point Jack Reacher before Alan
You are definitely not hallucinating.
Tom Cruise was unfortunately Jack Reacher in the movies. Worst casting EVER!!!
Now this guy....
This guy IS Jack Reacher. He perfectly fits the character Lee Child created.

Okay I know this is outta the blue but only slightly related, is the faceclaim for Jack reacher the one who fought his neighbour recently over something and it was in the news?
Yep, that's him. Alan Ritchson.
Ooooooh!
Okay second question,
What do you think Jack Reacher would get into a fight with his neighbours over
He'd definitely go for them if they were neglecting or abusing their dog or the husband was being abusive to the wife. He'd do something about those things.
