talk about jaime and henrys relationship? ty

they are friends!!! they had a pretty good start to their friendship, getting good first impressions of each other and helping each other out, and it was practically set in stone after they started working together to solve murders going on at the school.

i'd say it's pretty balanced, they both sort of keep each other in check and compliment the other's strengths and weaknesses, making up where the other lacks and helping each other stay on the right path.

jaime encourages henry and can inspire confidence in him. where he lacks in physical strength and general courage and power she has that, she can confront people and generally does stuff fitting for someone in the front.

henry is cautious and makes sure jaime doesn't get too carried away, while he's weak he always tries to make sure their path of logic makes sense and generally pretty much thinks things through a bunch. background sort that might be overly cautious.

all in all they'll probably keep getting closer as things go on!! they're a great team and pretty cute together.

sure!!

in general an undocumented creature has slipped through the cracks of documentation and thus their current existence is unknown.

they're either thought of as to not exist at all (like they're a work of fiction, fake, etc) or to have once existed but died out, either due to there being like only one of them or a small number of them that eventually died out due to a lack of making more or repopulation.

but they're actually around! there could be small populations or really only one individual creature or so.

these creatures often are rather mysterious, flying under the radar of both human and mystical eyes alike. their abilities and powers are often unknown, and generally the creature itself is the only one to really know about their own strengths and weaknesses, assuming they do in the first place.

while being unknown by many can help when doing shady things or trying to stay hidden, it also has its downsides, as you can't go to any magically aligned medical professionals to help with any ailments or anything like that, as not only are there no texts on you but they have no idea about any of your possible medical conditions or health risks associated with your species!!!

so i guess it's a give and take sort of thing.

there might be an undocumented creature given focus at some point.

for a few days now i've had the mental image of jaime henry and the blue guy in the paper mario art style and it's Wild

i'd just like to hear any general rambling about them but. specifically,the kinds of projects/areas your jekyll is most interested in? do utterson, lanyon, and jekyll spend good time together? do they ever go out anywhere as a group? (i apologize if any of this is covered in the book/musical and is the same for your recreations.)

to answer your first question, dr. jekyll is interested in the mind and how it works, he mostly studies the effects of drugs on the mind, treating mental disorders and such. has an interest in psychology as well as finding ways to eliminate the "evil" and bad parts of an individual, mostly stemming from trying to control and eliminate his own vices.

this... is a bit misguided, and we all know what happens as a result of a complete lack of support yet wanting to so desperately pursue this, pursue a way to get rid of the evil in him, he tries his experimental elixir on himself...

and to answer your second and third questions, utterson, lanyon, and jekyll do spend good time together!! they're all friends, or at least, that's what most think... they're a lot closer than that, pretty much being in a qp relationship and caring deeply for each other.

they do often go out together as a group, going to social gatherings (when jekyll is pretty much forced along by reputation and how ANYONE THAT'S ANYONE WOULD ATTEND and such) and like to spend time together when they have spare moments.

and while that can be a bit rare, considering how intensive jekyll and lanyon's work can be (and so can utterson's work at times) they try to make time for each other.

well they're not technically "mine" or my ocs so i save the occasional minor inane ramblings to my main blog... but if you want to hear about them and prefer asking about them here, i'll oblige! anything in particular you'd want to hear, or just a general overview??

because i can go in all sorts of directions, just point me in one if you have a specific thing in mind!

#note: NOT WHAT HE ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE WITHOUT IT #this is what he looks like maskless and with makeup prosthetics and whatever else he uses to hide whatever the fuck he has beneath that.

(you don't need to answer this if it goes into spoiler territory) is the world of Ash and Glass mostly the same as ours? is there any noticeable differences to mention?

about the same, if you set aside the existence of eldritch gods and the cthulhu mythos or the equivalent to it pretty much being real.

also technology's a biiit more advanced than real world technology, in that it has vaguely futuristic weaponry and medicine, but not too too far in the future, this isn't like, CYBER HP LOVECRAFT WITH EVERYONE WEARING ALL GLOWY OUTFITS and such.

it's just sort of a minor nudge past what's currently possible, you know?

but aside from all that, it's pretty much the same!

does the school of velanoire have the same basic 'rules' as most schools? eg. ban against weapons, drugs, alcohol and cigarettes? and does it have a cafeteria.

yeah pretty much. it's a school for magic kids and under the radar in that manner, but it doesn't mean they just let everyone go wild. there's specific rules put in place to try to prevent anybody from harming others.

for example, generally students are required to stay in illusion form or not access their abilities for purpose of causing chaos or discord. like it's just, no, don't fuck around with your magic, pay attention.

and there are rules against weapons, alcohol, and cigarettes, like no one is really supposed to drink alcohol on school grounds.

cigarettes are kind of an "eh" thing. there's a designated area with special stuff where you can smoke, but doing it outside of that area is a no-no because some students can literally be poisoned by stuff like that. plant-like creatures REALLY don't want to breathe that in.

and it does have a cafeteria! it's a pretty big one, and even then there's other areas where students eat lunch, like outdoor areas and such, and separate class periods for lunch to stop things from getting too too hectic.

is there an estimated population of kids going to the school of velanoire? how big is it in comparison to the transmogrificate? (i apologize, i forget the school name)

yeah, i'd say the number of students enrolled at velanoire is in the thousands! it's pretty darn big and made to accommodate for a lot of magical students, on the higher end of things... sort of like magic private school, but you don't have to sell your organs on the black market to attend.

while the school the kids in transmogrificate go to... isn't as big, it's just like a public school, not too too big, not too small, just a run of the mill public school in the suburbs.

(and don't worry about it! i haven't exactly... named it, since it isn't really a major factor in the story (at least in the current drawn up plot) and i've kind of struggled over what the heck to name it since it doesn't serve much of a role)
