okay folks, here’s the deal. tomorrow i will be returning to work after a 6 week long leave of absence. my drafts have piled up here, and i’m very sorry to those of you waiting; this week ( perhaps longer ) will be a difficult adjustment for me, as i’m returning to a 40 hour work week. i appreciate your patience. this is not a semi-hiatus announcement -- just may way of letting you know that my activity will be spotty for a little while longer until i can adjust to my work schedule again. i thank you all for your patience.

  “ I offer you peace.” He said as a massive hand went lift the infamous mask, his reptilian like features now visible to the naked eyes. He wanted her to see him, to know the face of Yamori and never forget it for the rest of her days.

  “ You don’t seem eager to fight me. I’d say I’ve been pretty rude to you so far right? If I had to guess you’d rather not fight, probably not in the mood? Not lookin to waste your time?” He raised a pair of tiny eyebrows at her. Oh, how lovely she looked to him. Her body shapely yet a primal thing, so eager to serve damnation to her foes. “ C’mon now, I just want a name? I already gave you mine, let me hear it. Let me whisper it, carry it with me for the rest of my time on this world.”

          ❝ Don’t make me LAUGH. You want my name, or else you will disrupt my peace? Such foolish, pointless violence makes you sloppy and unimpressive. If you do not have food or drink or treasure to offer, then BEGONE. This one will not answer questions without proper homage. This is a shrine. I owe you nothing. ❞ And just like that, she turns her jaw from him, disregarding his presence as she continues to groom herself, arching her spine and allowing her other leg to withdraw from its cozy knot beneath her backside, crossing one knee elegantly over the other.

   “ There are no beings like me, you can call me Yamoru or Yakumo I suppose.” He chuckled at the other, clearly enjoying himself. Did she think him so easily frightened? Certainly most would tremble at such a god like being. If he had to guess she was used to being able to threaten her way out of situations like this, most people feared death after all. Did he truly want to fight her, not entirely. True, he always was ready to drown himself in blood, he was still more curious about her than anything. 

    “ Watch my mouth? What are you gonna do, huh? Kill me? I can’t think of a better way to die than being locked in a fight with a lovely creature such as you. Give me your name and I’ll change my toon towards ya. ”

          ❝ There are worse things than death. ❞ She replies, calmly grooming herself by lashing a pink tongue across the back of slender knuckles, then lifting that hand to sweep across her skull, o’er a vulpine ear -- much like a feline. She’s naked, if one looks closely: snowy skin is caked in dirt, starlit hair matted and shrouding the better part of her bare figure ‘neath the moonlight. He certainly is eager to FIGHT -- and it’s almost pitiful. Normally, it is she who is so feral, so thirsty for blood! A soft hum rumbles through her throat, golden eyes moving over him smoothly.           ❝ If you want answers, they come at a price. What have you to OFFER? ❞

“ Are they now? GOOD! I was afraid I had wasted my time coming here.” His voice only slightly distorted from his mask. He’d heard rumors of this place, how some went missing or were wounded from venturing too close. Yamori had thought the stories to be some wives tail, but given the being who stood before him now, he was finding himself pleasantly surprised. “ Fighting is in my blood, I welcome you to seek to spill it, unless you want to entertain me in other ways.” He cracked his fingers, not shred of fear upon his masked face.

“ God damn, you’re a real looker. Why ya gotta look so damn beautiful, eh? Does that pretty face make lesser men underestimate you? Ya won’t be able to work that magic here, sugar!” 

          A derisive snort flares pale nostrils, sharp jaw lifted o’er slim shoulder as she gazes down upon his hulking figure with disdain. It may be a farce; she still isn’t certain of his nature, or of his abilities -- but neither will she be spoken to in such a manner. She crouches upon the rotting rooftop of the weathered shrine, long-since abandoned, with one lithe leg dangling over the edge and swinging in small, pensive circles like an opaline pendulum. ❝ Watch your mouth. You’re speaking to a GOD -- show some reverence. You should count yourself lucky that I’ve just fed. Otherwise, you wouldn’t still be standing. ❞ The blood-lust is practically seeping from his flesh. Whatever he was, it was dangerous -- but it certainly couldn’t hold a candle to her supernatural power. ❝ What manner of being are you? I have not SMELLED one like you before. ❞

"Here. Eat." And so he drops a sizeable fish in front of her, enough to male a meal of! It was a spare hunting mark, andprobablysmallerthanhisfish, but he was willing to depart with it.

          Thin pupils swivel, locking on the limp prey, senses heightened at the sight, the smell. Is…he bringing her an OFFERING? A meal? It doesn’t make sense – but it’s instinctual, how her body response with arched ears and bared fangs. She crawls with hesitation to the corpse, approaching with mistrust and hesitation. Neck cranes forward, nostrils flaring as she drinks in the scent…and then, like lightning, she’s snatched up the fish and scrambled back to the safety of her shrine’s stairs, tearing into the meat like a RAVENOUS animal. Yet, even as she feasts, her eyes drift back to the intruder, scrutinizing him – baffled by the generosity.          ❝ ——— WHY? ❞ She asks around a mouthful of tiny bones, brows furrowed.
