transition phase laboring when all they can do is moan and breathe, not quite ready to push but so so so soooo close to it it's driving them mad. Swinging wildly from being excited the baby is coming soon and being upset it isn't over yet because they want to just quit and go home.
I bet that first urge to bear down is INSANE after laboring for so long like they're going to go mad if they don't immediately do as instinct tells them to and if anyone tries to stop them they'll bite their head off
"Stretch for me, sweetheart. There it is."
"God, I put a big one in you. I'm so sorry, honey."
"It's too late for a hospital, mama. Push. You can do it."
"I've got the head. Work those shoulders out. Just like that."
"You look so beautiful pushing my baby out like this. You gonna do it again for me next year?"
"Let's stand you up. Gravity can help with those shoulders."
"Come on, honey. Just one more push. Drop that baby for me."
All in between kissing/biting along your neck and shoulders. Leaving little marks and bruises as you struggle around my oversized baby.

Some random things I love about Labor/Birth
Just Felt in the mood to write down some things that I love about labor.
. I love the way some women will be in the middle of a conversation and all of a sudden smack bang in the middle of it hush everyone around them and let out a large moan
. I love when a woman either begs or demands people to do things for her “give me a towel” “I need water”
. Speaking of begs and demands one of the biggest things I love is when a woman demands or begs for a foot massage , a back massage or a belly massage,
she’s in labor she doesn’t care if you think she’s being whiny or demanding give her that foot rub dammit!!!
. I love when a woman complains that they feel nauseous/ sick, (bonus point if they’re burping) at that point the rush is on to find them a bucket or bowel.
. I love all the positions the on all fours with an arched back, squatting etc
. I love the non stop complaining
. The moans, the groans especially low deep sounding ones.
. I love the longer it goes the more her noises change and sound more desperate and “pushy”
. I love how some women for weeks are practically begging and complaining about how much they want to go into labor and then when the day finally comes they realise they don’t want to do this, all that talk about being ready for this has been thrown out the window huh?
. I love the big bellies swaying all over the place as beautiful mama tries to get comfortable
Labor/birth is beautiful for many reasons these are just some personal things I enjoy about it

You started dating your first serious girlfriend around the start of her 2nd trimester. She was waiting tables and starting her family on her own, and you tried to support her the best you could. She'd come home after a long shift and you'd lay her on the bed and massage her feet and calves. Slowly kissing her forehead and gliding your hands over the top of her belly as you told her what a good mother she was going to be. You couldn't wait to watch her have her baby.
