Vincent stares down at Kiet and tries not to laugh harshly. “No need to treat me with formalities kid. You can call me Vincent.”

He nods polite acknowledgement. “It is a pleasure to meet you, Vincent.” By the standards of his village this is someone he should not take to. “I must go now. I need to find my brother.”

“Your brother?” You mean there’s another one of you around here, he thought with a sour expression.

“Fine go out there. The demons will get you. I suggest staying here until daylight. They’re quite strong.” He added with a smirk.

It was true about the demons. They liked to plague people at night. Vincent’s conscious sparked then telling him he could let this guy get hurt. He frowned inwardly. He didn’t care. He shouldn’t care. But he did.

“If you go out there you better let me accompany you.” He says tensely half-way meaning it.

"If you suggest staying here then I shall. I do not wish to come upon any trouble. It would bring dishonor to my village."

“Good evening, sir.” He puts his fists together and bows. “I am Kiet.” When he straightens, his body language is somewhat tense.

Vincent sighed at the site of more visitors. “Hello.” He said not truly caring.

"Good evening, sir." He puts his fists together and bows. "I am Kiet." When he straightens, his body language is somewhat tense.

“Would you mind if I join you tonight?

“A-are you sure you want to do it? … The m-monsters out here aren’t exactly something like you see…” She shook her head, rambling on but not making any more notable words.

He nods promptly. "I have not been able to properly hone my skills since I left my village. I have brought down food but I have not truly been able to do as I used to in the training circle."

“You do this alone?”

“Yeah; I do it every night.”

He straightens. “I was not aware. If it is so dangerous, may I ask why you are here?”

“I—… I’m the one who makes it less dangerous…” She sighs and nervously looks away.

“I apologize, am I not allowed to? I was only people-watching. I take comfort in the trees.” He bends slightly at the waist, a bow of apology in his village, and waits for her to acknowledge it.

“No it’s not that… it’s just it’s unusual around here to see.” She nodded to his apology. “It’s going to be night soon though… It’s dangerous out here as soon as the moon rises…”

He straightens. "I was not aware. If it is so dangerous, may I ask why you are here?"

He looks down at her. “Good evening, miss.” He swings down from the tree, landing nimbly on his feet. At ease, he looks at her with a mildly curious expression.

She switched her weight around, bowing her head for a moment out of tradition. When she brought her head up though, she hid her fangs. Didn’t need to expose the whole ‘I’m a dragon’ thing after all. “Um… is there a reason you were in a tree? … Not to intrude or anything… I just don’t usually see many people do it around here.”

Kiet sits high in a tree, looking down at the few people passing by. Not one of them looks like they would know anything. He closes his eyes and leans back against the branch, letting his leg dangle down.

Kaida sighed as she walked within the park, night was coming and soon would the monsters with it. Her eyes suddenly went to the branches when she noticed someone, her ears twitching back in curiosity as she went to the base of the tree and knocked. “Hello?”
