The past week our student body and faculty have experienced what some thought was impossible. Vindex has FALLEN, and with it took away loved ones and memories no one can ever replace. And while the time has come for us to begin again, to move forward through this darkness and find that light, there are some things you need to know.
Some questioned Directors Fury and Waller for their noted absences the past few months of school, and for the way faculty and administration were often seen scrambling for answers. And now it seems, we have them.
Every good establishment has backup plans, a scapegoat for when things go up in smoke. And while it seemed that every safe house, base and secret location were revealed to the world, this one remained hidden. In truth, the attack upon Vindex had been suspected for months, Fury and Waller working together to create a contingency plan not only to relocate, but to move the academy into the future due to the possibility of Von Doom striking once more along with the rising tensions of the world’s perception of supers and agents due to the Sokovia Accords.
So plans began months back for a new academy, this one in a location no one could dispute was for anything other than what it claimed to be. By placing it in the center of a bustling city, the world could be shown that we have nothing to hide, nothing to fear. They hope to find safety in transparency, that by showing the world who these kids are and what they can do, further attacks on our soil can be prevented. It is a hope not everyone finds comfort in.
This past week while the campus recovered at the hidden base, the new campus was being completed and reinforced with top notch security for the protection of those who remained. Students who wish to go home for the summer may of course do so, but for the many who lost their homes and safe havens to these attacks, we welcome you. Move in day will occur within the day, with a chance to explore your new campus and what this entails for your futures. Room mates will be posted upon arrival as well as supplies to make this transition as smooth as possible.
Days have passed and the dust has begun to clear. The past week several agents and workers have worked around the clock to clear the rubble and debris away, and to get to the people still trapped inside. It was a long and tedious process, but at the time it has been cleared for the following to be released.
Over 20 people were recovered from the site, with only a few remaining unaccounted for. As much as we would like to consider it a victory, we cannot. Tonight we can now confirm the discovery of three bodies, all beyond the point of being helped. We mourn them tonight, and send our best wishes to their families.

This is the second to last plot drop, more of an announcement than anything! The final drop and intro to the new main/academy will happen within the next day or so! Once the new main is released, we will open for apps once more.

24 hours have passed since the bombings. The quinjets and helicopters have transported the students and faculty to one of the few remaining secure locations, a safe house compound underground deep in the midwest. Throughout the night reports continue to flow in with accounts of injuries and deaths, of people reported missing and people who made it out alive. And yet still there are so many questions left unanswered. What we know is this much.

Messages from around the world are arriving, some in mourning for the countless lives lost, others turning to anger at how and why this could have happened. For a moment, we are left to wonder just what to do next. Where do we go from here?
Don’t worry, our villains aren’t done with us just yet.
Phones of the faculty and various staff all begin ringing simultaneously, agencies and reporters alike pouring in for comments on the leaks. Confusion sweeps through them all, until the news report begins. And Von Doom’s final present to us all is revealed.
During the initial blackouts, people failed to notice the administration receiving a little visit. Doombots infiltrated the computers and files, stealing every bit of information they could find on YOU. And now they have been released to the public. PERSONNEL FILES, SECRET IDENTITIES, SAFE HOUSE LOCATIONS, SECURE BASES, SECRET HOMES, PAST MISSION DETAILS. All now spread throughout the web and accessible to anyone and everyone.
WELCOME TO THE PUBLIC EYE.
Welcome back! This is the last drop for the next few days, the remainder of this upcoming week will take place at the underground safe house as mentioned in the last post. The next drop will contain information about the new campus, location etc, but in the meantime feel free to interact at this temporary location.
As for the lists.
All gravely injured have now been airlifted to the location and are being treated in the medical wing.
All presumed dead are still being searched for, and WILL REMAIN presumed dead for another 4-5 days. (the next drop will indicate that those people have now been recovered and can be posted on again. )
If once the 4-5 days are up and you still wish for that character to be missing/assumed dead for a while longer for hiatus purposes etc, you can message the main and we’ll make note of it.
Despite the fear that this would be the end, morning came. Students and faculty alike could breathe for a moment of peace in the knowledge that they had won, that for now the fighting could end.
But are things ever truly what they seem?
Despite being released from their holds and relatively unharmed, many of the magic users have found passages of time missing from their minds. It was written of for now as trauma, with the hope that as time went on, rest and relaxation would bring back those lost memories. But there was so much more to it. For Victor Von Doom wasn’t quite done with them all just yet.
Miles away he sat, watching a wall of screens. Shots from all over the world, New York, D.C, Gotham. All just waiting for a snap of his fingers for the plan to begin. Though he’d been resistant to let the Hydra and Cadmus intelligence in on his plans, admittedly it was made easier for all of to occur. There would be no turning back after this. Eyes closing, he focused his intentions on not removing memories, but returning them. It was time to let them know what exactly was coming. People would be saved. But souls would be lost. He could appreciate the beauty in that.
Back at the campus, Nik Maximoff and Anwen Constantine awake once more, this time frantically with the memories lost now surfacing. During their time under control, before taking their places at the perimeter, the kidnapped individuals had another mission. Three bombs now lay under Vindex’s foundation, set to detonate within hours. But their campus was not the only target. The students rushed to alert the faculty, nurses rushing them to the dean’s office. But a notably absent Fury and Waller could not offer assurance, and the kids and teachers alike watched on monitors of their own as reality set in.
It was too late.
Across the country the bombs had already begun to detonate, leaving fiery masses of death and destruction in their wake. Vindex was only one of SIX targets, and the last in a long line of a plan much larger than them all. On the screens were the destruction, more and more news footage rolling in as the minutes passed.
SHIELD ACADEMY, ARGUS TRAINING CENTER, BELLE REVE PRISON, THE FRIDGE PRISON, THE HALL OF JUSTICE, STARK TOWER, THE BAXTER BUILDING and WAYNE MANOR are no more.
All now fallen in the aftermath of the bombings. Injuries and death reports began to pile in, news outlets speculating as to who and what could have been behind it. But we now know who, don’t we?
As soon as the realization of what to come sets in, so does the panic. The students are given five minutes to pack a back and evacuate the buildings, where the Quinjets and helicopters are waiting for immediate departure. Hundreds of students pour out from the doors, herded onto the carriers and terrified as to what this means now.
But not everyone can evacuate, various teachers and faculty remaining behind to comb through the grounds for any students hiding or unable to reach the doors. They are promised to be lifted out on the Quinjets still yet to arrive. With that, the planes begin to take off. And that is when it all falls apart. As warned, the bombs detonate. The students being flown to safety watch in abject horror as the academy they have spent the past few years of their life in is swallowed in a wave of fire and smoke, foundations crumbling beneath itself. There is no time to question as to whether or not our remaining heroes and students are alive and accounted for, the prime focus now is getting the remaining ones to safety. It is released on each jet and coptor that the student body is being flown to a still secure underground safe house at an undisclosed location, where treatment will be received for those still injured and where plans for what come next can be discussed. But one thing is certain.
Vindex is gone. This is the new reality.
So, there you have it! Though we have one or two minor drops left, this concludes a majority of the action portion of our drops. Vindex is no more, as this gives us a transition into our revamp and new school/location. For the next week or so, students and teachers not injured in the blasts and left behind will ALL be at the safe house facility, where therapists and medical treatment are available to all. There is NO leaving the base at this time.
As to who was left behind and now considered potentially dead and/or unaccounted for, only a limited amount of spots are available for that list which will be released with the next drop. (We know you all want to injure your characters, but realistically we have to have some survivors here) Realistically anyone who wishes to TRULY kill off their character (and does NOT intend to bring them back) can also message us to be placed a final casualty list if one is needed.
For every mun, you are allowed 1-2 characters on either the assumed dead list or gravely injured list. (gravely injured implies they have been recovered from the rubble and flown to the onsite hospital at the underground safe house)
Faculty will have much fewer spots available than students, as we have far less in the headcount.
You can message the main about who you may wish to put on these lists, but once the spots are full we are hesitant to open up more.
PLEASE wait for verification as to which characters are placed on those two lists before posting starters on those characters. (mostly applies to the gravely injured list, as the assumed dead list will mean they are unaccounted for, for the next few days.)
That being said, anyone not on those lists can obviously still be injured from the battle and panic of being whisked from campus, just not life threatening injuries.
Any NEW starters posted after this drop will take place at the UNDERGROUND SAFE HOUSE FACILITY !!
There is a time for FIGHTING, and a time for HOPE.
A battle can turn with the slightest of hands.. And in this battle, Vindex seems to be losing. Despite the valiant efforts of its heroes and students, more and more enemy forces begin to pour in, and for once the campus is left to wonder whether or not they can truly pull off a victory. What was that they say, about good always triumphing over evil?
As the hours stretch on and the list of injured or missing continues to grow, overhead, the skies darken. Thunder echoes in the clouds, thick lightning twisting around as the fight continues on below. The storm brewing goes almost entirely unnoticed by the students and faculty alike, assumed to be results from magic or the weather manipulators using their powers. The thunder grows louder and louder as the day goes on and, in the darkness again, it comes to a head. Lightning strikes across the ground, air hot as a final clap of thunder echoes across the campus---- followed by the sound of music and a roar. There were, after all, two fallen heroes left who had yet to return. Now, really, was as good of a time as any.
....And after all, a Stark DID always know how to make an entrance. With a little help from a Hulk.
Welcome back TONY STARK and BRUCE BANNER.
Arriving in style (in a tank blasting AC/DC no less,) the two geniuses release a blast of energy from a weaponized creation of their own, halting the magical current surrounding the school. It isn’t much, but it is enough for the magical captives to awaken from their trances and bring an end to the spell that surrounds them all. Weak and drained but alive, we also welcome them back. They are rushed to the infirmaries, for treatment and questioning as to what they know.
And with that, the tides begin to turn. As always when help comes, it’s in full force. With our newly returned heroes come forces from Shield and Argus alike, Quinjets and helicopters landing all over the grounds, troops and medical assistance finally here.
Within hours, the battle is seemingly over. Hydra and Cadmus are seen retreating, Vindex finally getting a reprieve from the fights. Von Doom, with only a slightly less lengthy villainous monologue, makes his exit. Some feel the battle and Doom surrendered to defeat a bit too easily, but that is something to worry about later. For now, we take tonight to take stock of our injured, seek comfort in one another, and welcome back the final two remaining heroes the world lost those years ago. But what we know, is that one thing is soon to be discovered. Not everything is what is what it seems.
A BATTLE HAS BEEN WON, BUT THE WAR IS ONLY JUST BEGINNING.
So! For now the battles have ended, though we still have two more plot drops to go so don’t get comfortable just yet! As of right now all injured students are being pulled to the infirmary for treatment, and all magical students and faculty that were captured are returned and also receiving treatments. And with that final return, Bruce Banner and Tony Stark are now open for applications (when we open apps up again)
Due to fc changes, Anna Christine Spekhart is now open and Katie Stevens is now taken, Marlon Texeira is now open and Adam Dimarco is now taken, Blake Jenner is open and Burkley Duffield is now taken, and Gaspard Ulliel is now open and Douglas Booth is now taken.
The past 24 hours Vindex has been plunged into darkness, with no answers as to who or what is the cause. The time for answers has arrived, but we can’t guarantee you’ll like what you hear. Yesterday in the midst of the chaos of the blackout, certain individuals went missing. It has now been discovered that they all shared a certain thing in common. Magic.
Sirens blare once more, the bars and gates that had been previously locked and loaded now rising once more. Moonlight spills across the campus, the chilling ringing of bells a foreshadowing of the events soon to come.
And the grand master of it all has finally arrived. VICTOR VON DOOM in his attempt to reclaim his pride after the last failed attempt, has spent months worming his way into the mind of an individual student or two, draining them of just enough magic here and there to make his overtaking that much easier. And once he was in the mind of one...well the others soon joined. And this time the motive has grown, as he boasts not only his return to claim the victory he ‘deserves,’ but his children. Two students who up until now, had no idea of their parentage. Von Doom plans to take what is his, no matter the cost. With an legion of magic under his thumb, our night is set to begin.
Wanda Maximoff, Zatanna Zatarra, Nikola Maximoff, Zalika Zatarra, Quinton Strange, Scarlet Pryde and Anwen Constantine have been placed under complete mind control of Von Doom.
They are now posted along the borders of campus, their magics flowing into the grounds beneath them and keeping down any and all security measures. Any attempts to stop them or wake them up are swiftly eradicated with the promise that if they intervene, all the hostages will die. Vindex has been rendered defenseless. All that remains is YOU.
And the time to band together has never been stronger. Word travels fast when defenses are down, and today is no different. Unbeknownst to them all, CADMUS and HYDRA leaders have sent in agents not only to steal information, but to capture and reform any students they may find ‘worthy’ of joining their leagues. And if they are opposed...consequences have never been much to the side of evil.
VINDEX is under attack. This is the beginning of the end.

HELLO everyone! For the next portion of the drop, all kidnap victims have been revealed as well as their fates. The school is now a sitting duck to any/all forces who wish to try and invade its walls. And while (hopefully) help is on its way, for the next 24-36 hours the students and faculty will have to band together to stay alive and intact. You can choose to hide or to confront, both are accepted BUT please none of the following:
Killing off characters (yet) or any extreme amounts of torture implied.
Trying to imply escaping the campus (that will occur soon, we hope)
No confronting Victor Von Doom
No waking the magic students from their trances (yet)
No calling in for backup, all phone and internet cables have been cut
If your character has a previous history with doom and you feel an interaction DEFINITELY occurred, a self para of those events is fine!
basically we’re trying to avoid anyone dying just yet. But plenty of attacks and fights can now begin.
A few miles from the gates of the school, a man stands on a rooftop, watching. Waiting. After months of well laid plans and just the right planted information and spies, his stage is set. The fun can now begin.

The blaring of the announcement cuts off midway, leaving a chill as the alarms continue to blare throughout the campus. Students and faculty alike are seen filling the halls, curious and concerned at yet another breach of its walls. Some hope for a false alarm, but Vindex has never been quite that lucky.
Unbeknownst to most, several students and faculty are now missing from classes and residence halls. Their fates will be revealed with time, but for now, there is a man with a plan now set to take place.
A swell of energy, anyone with a sense of magic or dark power can feel it coming. It blasts through the campus, its red haze lingering for one...two..three moments before disintegrating. But the damage has been done.
Alarms blare, this time on high alert as the school is thrust into lockdown mode. Barriers placed, windows and doorways sealed. And yet, something is wrong. As lockdown is initiated, the lights around campus tend to go out one by one, some flickering, some exploding into nothing. And once every door and window is sealed----there is darkness.
The campus is given a very recent wave of deja vu as its halls are thrust into a blackout once more, the backup generators picking up just enough power to leave a single light in each hallway. Vindex is locked down, not only without power but without the knowledge that some of the enemies they should fear have arrived, and may just be hiding where you can’t find them. All faculty receive a message from Fury and Waller, alerting them that while they are not on campus, they expect the teachers to do what they can to keep the peace and eliminate any found threats while they work to figure out the true extent of this on their end.
Be careful Vindex, the fun is only just beginning.

This is the first of 4-5 plot drops that will be occurring over the next week in order to carry us over and out to our new location/revamp! There will be another drop occurring tomorrow night, so in the meantime members can feel free to react/post starters about the events now set in motion. The campus is on lockdown as well as in a blackout for the next 24 hours or so. As well as using the general starter tag, please tag all event starters with #legendslockdown so starters pertaining solely to the event can be found easily!
Students and teachers can be wherever on campus you choose to put them, but the campus IS on lockdown. There is no way to access the outdoors or leave the campus in any way. All magic is useless due to the spell cast across the grounds, as well. Inhumans and mutants still have their abilities but any/all magic users are rendered useless.
