Collection of sketches with Moscow brujah The Primogen asks Lyuba to vouch for their rebellious clansmate, Max, before the court. Brujah collect the guy from his hiding place in a monastery. Lyuba gives a fiery speech and Max is pardoned - but not until his mortal beloved is sentenced to death in the name of Masquerade. A week later, he loses his dearest friend in battle. At the end of the chronicle Max goes into deep torpor. His remaining comrades, including Lyuba, swear to protect his body however long it takes. Sleep well, good friend.
