Probably what I hate most about hazbin hotel and helluva boss — besides everything else — is the teeth. THE TEETH DON'T MAKE SENSE. AND IT PISSES ME OFF. I don't care that it's design language (sharp = scary) it doesn't make any fucking sense for their teeth to look like THIS

And like. You can't even argue about "oh it's because of creature stuff" because the animal Vox is based on, a shark, HAS THESE TEETH

Like. Listen I get that it's just a design and it doesn't Have to make anatomical sense but.... Urgh it just pisses me off so bad when people just do Sharp Teeth without thinking about Why the character has sharp teeth!!!! There are implications people!!!!!!!!! Implications!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alastor, cannibal whatever or not, should not have the teeth he does. Lucifer, okay he's not even a human FINE he gets a pass actually no I'm gonna yap in a sec about him. And Vox's teeth could make sense with a little tweaking. But Alastor???? He's based off a deer!!! He's a radio deer human!!!!! Honestly I think it'd be more fitting for him to have NO canines at all!! Considering most deer teeth look like this!
(Because they are herbivores!)
I honestly think it'd be more interesting to have such an intimidating character like Alastor (cough cough or at least meant to be intimidating cough cough) have no (visible) canines unlike the rest of the cast who do (tbc deers Do technically have canines, they just aren't exactly as polymorphic as, say, human canines are compared to their incisors). It'd also fit in with the whole radio theme. It doesn't matter that Alastor's smile is sharp it matters that it's wide. And giving him the jaw of a deer with the diastema (the toothless gap between the (pre)molars and incisors) would genuinely make him SO MUCH SCARIER!!! CAUSE THAT'S REALLY INHUMAN. LIKE. INHERENTLY OFF-PUTTING.
On Lucifer. He's based on a snake. At least partially.
This is a snake jaw containing aglyphous teeth, they're usually hidden in the gums; four rows at the top, two at the bottom.
There are different types of snake teeth, to be clear: solenoglyphous teeth — or rather fangs — are those hinged teeth that can protrude from the snake's jaw and deliver venom, proteroglyphous teeth are similar to solenoglyphous teeth — fangs that deliver venom — however they are not hinged and therefore cannot protrude from the mouth (they're also smaller than solenoglyphous teeth), and lastly there are opisthoglyphous teeth which are fangs that deliver venom but at the back of the mouth instead of the front. That yapping aside, if you want to base Lucifer off a snake and give him sharp teeth — YOU COULD!!! But you have to actually put effort into understanding the nature of snake teeth! Good to know Lucifer isn't venomous at least... And again — STILL NO MIDDLE TOOTH!!!
