Whelp, I’ve finally been dragged into the “poppy has curly hair” headcanon, cause I could not find a way to make the straight hair work when it’s not in a ponytail.
Also I got super inspired by the True Colors Zine cover done by @sandflakedraws, so this turned into a bit of a style study for how they do shading. Specifically having lineart around the highlight areas, it’s something I haven’t seen before, but I think it looks really cool!
PopPunk AU Broppy re-designs! I just really have been feeling detached from this AU but realized it's because the designs didn't really fit my vision I had for them. So, we fixed that! Branch is mostly the same, but I wanted his attire to reflect punk style more. Poppy got a huge rework, I wanted her to have this ethereal y2k pop star look, and I'm super in love with her. Anyway, can't wait to return to this AU and make more content with em :)
“And if you’ll give me 40% of the MOST POPULAR VOTE, I’ll give you my SPECIAL REWARD... A year’s supply of NON-GLOOBY SLIME!!! Never or BARELY used!!!” Tenna concluded his speech with a huge smile, jetting his hands up in double peace signs.
The crowd roared in confused enthusiasm as Tenna gave a gracious flurry of low-FPS bows, pausing only for the occasional stink-nose at his audience plants who weren’t throwing enough 3D roses.
Eventually, the room fell silent. It was Senshi’s turn to speak.
He puffed out his chest, took a long, sweeping look over the audience… and shook his head.
“I can see not all of you are eating properly.”
The crowd murmured with embarrassment.
“I don’t know who needs to hear this, but it’s time to take the turkey out of your icebox. I have seen the ingenious technology with which your people store food... and I have also seen the waste which results from such convenience.
“The food you take had a life. Beasts grew fat on the grass of the field, plants grew from the sun’s rays, and mushrooms grew from minerals in the cracks of caves. And yet, it sits in your iceboxes, collecting moisture until it perishes.
“Eat what is given to you. Because its life will make you stronger, too.”
Without another word, Senshi left his podium and stepped away from the stage. The crowd murmured in confusion. “Is he really like that?” somebody said. “I only remember reblogging the photosets of him tripping and showing ass.”

Back in the Green Room, Tenna wrung his antennas nervously.
“Y-y-you think they liked me!? They HAD to!! I mean, I don’t know what Asgore was thinking, getting that weird haircut and running that food waste campaign, but… YOU thought I did good, didn’t you, Kris?”
Laios nodded aggressively, a streak of blue face paint peeling from his forehead.
“You did AMAZING, Tenna! By the way, now that we’ve seen all your insider campaign secrets, do you have any more videos of Susie? Especially her tail... If I could get a look at that, I could finally tell if she’s a dinosaur or --”
THWACK. Fake antlers butted Laios’s head.
“LAIOS?? Weren’t we dressed up to help SENSHI???” Marcille hissed, gesturing awkwardly with her hooves.
Suddenly, Tenna turned to the two adventurers.
“Hey, WAIT a second. SOMETHING’s not right here...”
Laios and Marcille held their breath.
“Where the heck are my POINTS!?”
Just then, the door opened. Chilchuck took one step into the room, whistling and holding a large bag.
Everyone turned to him.
Chilchuck paused, took a step backwards, and closed the door.
“CHILCHUCK!!!” yelled Tenna.
“How come Chilchuck got to stay Chilchuck!?” yelled Marcille at the same time.

With the rise of doujin-friendly events in the US and elsewhere, this work is being formatted carefully with the intent to allow for physical prints. I already have confirmation that this will be distributed to doujin events in Mainland China.
In any copy of the physical print, no profits will be made.
If you do not consent to a physical print, you may still participate and opt-out of the physical edition. Just let me know when you submit your work. The anthology will be distributed first and foremost as a free digital zine.
Because of the potential for printing, however, certain specifications must be followed.
GUIDELINES
General:
This anthology is intended to be a collection of works featuring the pairing of Kyoko Yamate and Neo from D4DJ. This pairing can be depicted as romantic, platonic, or even leaning into them being rivals. As long as the focus is on their pairing, the nature of the pairing does not matter.
This is intended to be a work for general audiences. Sexual and suggestive content are not allowed. If you wouldn’t show it in a PG-13 movie, you can assume it's not allowed. If you have any questions about specific content, you can ask @kyaliarts/@number1andonly (same person so messaging is a matter of preference)
This extends to writing as well. Please keep profanity at a minimum and try to lean away from darker topics.
I want this to be a work that can be enjoyed by as many people as possible.
Gen AI is strictly forbidden. That should go without saying.
I don't imagine this will get too big, so if you feel compelled to submit multiple works, you may if you ask permission first so I can make sure it doesn't get super bloated.
Submissions may be sent via DM in a drive or other file sharing format. If you need to send it a different way, let me know.
Visual works (comics, illustrations, photography, etc):
Please submit in B5 size
Monochrome works should be at least 600 dpi. Color should be 350 dpi. Please format color works for CMYK printing
Please submit in psd preferred.
If the work uses text or speech bubbles, please keep these on a separate layer so they can be edited or removed in case of translation.
Comics/Doujin should read like a traditional manga (right to left) and will be formatted accordingly.
Comics/Doujin that consist of more than 2-3 pages (a continuous work, not like one-off 4koma gags) require a title page with the name of the work and the author's name.
No particular page limit for a single work, but please be reasonable. If you’re concerned then clear it with @kyaliarts or @number1andonly
Written works:
These can be submitted in pdf, doc, or docx format, or via services such as google docs.
Please keep to 5k words max.
I recommend not relying on fonts if possible as they may be lost in formatting.
Editing is available upon request.
You may provide art for a title page, but it must follow the visual guidelines. If the art is not done by yourself, I need explicit permission directly from the artist so I can credit them as a contributor.
One last thing (for now): Please do not publicly post your submission to twitter/pixiv/ao3/etc. for at least 1 month after the anthology is made public. WIPs and zoomed in/partially obscured versions/summaries/samples of the work are fine. When it is made public, you will be free to link the digital version as you please.
If there are doujin conventions near you and you would like to distribute this work without profit: Let me know. I will be preparing a file set for printing and will pass it along.
