Goddam. She is such bad influence. A guest lecture turned into a massive pub night out and staying over in Southampton because one of my lecturers dosed me up on wine and then half the catering staff at the uni ended up buying me shots. I feel like an undergrad again @amy_letslovelife.

After giving up any kind of filmmaking during my BA, @marysarahann somehow convinced me to help out @aramatkinson with a local TV commercial being shot. A day of filming out in the freezing cold, but so much fun, rounded off with food and drinks in the pub, and Aram and the others did a great job of looking after us all. It was lovely to see such a great friend after so long too (I clearly mean Mary, Aram, it'd been like 9 hours 😉).

When I visited MOMA in NY, I fell in love with a lot of the artwork, but I was treated to seeing Van Gogh's 'Starry Night' in person. Absolutely gorgeous painting. I also got to see the Louise Bourgeois exhibition and, previously unfamiliar with her, I absolutely adored her work. I wasn't a fan of Max Ernst, whose work was part of the second exhibition, but I did get to see various works from Magritte, Picasso, Matisse, Rousseau (which I loved), Kirchner (who was my favourite for the stunningly bold German Expressionistic style).
