Chloe was born into a middle-class family of four in Manhattan, New York.
Her birght blue eyes had been said to behold how bright her future was going to be, or something like that.
When she was younger she knew what kind of lifestyle she wanted to life, to endure and the one she was living was not living up to her standard.
From middle school age she had already found ways to profit from various 'business ventures' whether it be a candy business or a selling 'designer' bags and clothes.
Her mother and father didn't bat an eye, nor did they ever really know what she was doing to get the money to buy all of the fancy things she wanted—they just figured she was doing odd jobs on the side or something like that.
There wasn't much for them to pay attention to anyways with her older sibling taking the brunt of it all, but not in the way she would have wanted for herself.
It was around that age she had seen for the first time the way her father beat them, early morning, mid-afternoon, even late evening he didn't have a time constraint. Their mother complacent in the abuse, finding herself immersed in an audiobook to drown out the sounds. Chloe didn't drown anything out, she made sure she knew every last bit of what was going on so that she knew what she was really saving for at the end of it all.
Her wants and wishes to save her older sibling would end when she was a sophomore in high school, their death coming from the hands of their father as their final beating seemed to go too far.
Sick to her stomach, the image still haunts her of walking into the house and seeing her sibling's dead body on the loiving room floor and her father on the phone with somebody trying to figure out how to clean it all up without a trace.
The amount of men who shuffled into the house soon after to dispose of their body was strange to her, her curious mind further fueled with a need for...what would it be...revenge?
She stayed quiet, minded her p's and q's and played a role of dutiful daughter, lying to those around of her sibling's disappearance, searching for ways to get close enough to know just enough information before she'd strike.
The day came a day after graudation, having finally figured out what her father had been doing most recently to secure cash for the family and just the right way to set him up to take his fall.
Chloe sent an annoymous tip to The Serpents, who her father had been washing money for as she found out, and let it be shown that he had been stealing from them behind their backs. That tip led to her father's death, to which she had watched first hand...with a ghost of a smile playing on her features if the story was ever told to anyone else.
Her mother was told to flee and while Chloe would have been told the same, she offered a counter—let her take his spot, really bring them in money with less risks of getting caught.
Since then she's proven to be an asset, not only with money but in her hand-to-hand combat skills along with her precision with guns and knives—keeping one handy at all times.
She's been in the area since birth, now fully engrained in the Serpent lifestyle, even though she's had a few run-ins with the others, romantic and other.
