you know I hear a lot about trans men being mistaken for trans women, but not a lot about trans women being mistaken for trans men
am I just not hearing about it, or is it maybe something to do with the fact that transfemininity is more scrutinized and presumed? like, I wonder if people are more inclined to try to spot it because we are so fearmongered about
I have been on multiple dates where they assumed I was transmasc, and was ghosted when they realized I was transfem. I know it happens when I am inexplicably treated with dignity and respect on accident
I've talked to a lot of lesbians, and most assume (because I am butch) that I'm transmasc. Also because I have a deeper voice, a lot of people assume that I'm on testosterone. When they find out I am not, that's where pleasant conversation ends. Queer people are fine with a masculine woman, except when she's transfem.
Happened to me a few times earlier in my transition when I presented more non-binary. Stubble also grew out disgustingly swiftly and contributed to these kinds of misunderstandings. And yeah the amount of people who ghosted me after finding out I was a transfem was all but one of the people with the misconception (and that one still stopped seeing me as a viable romantic partner after realizing)
at some point after I started E, I started getting he/himmed in the same conspicuously-supportive way that I had been getting she/hered. took me a while to figure out that that people were thinking I was transmasc. I didn't understand why they were conspicuously supportive but, when I corrected them to she/her, they'd give me this politely strained smile.
happened to me at a bike mechanic when I was getting my wife's bike fixed. They seemed to intuit me as transmasc until when I had to give my name for their billing system - since we got a free repair and tuneup if something happened in the next few months, they needed to record a name. <Fem name> I offered. "Nah, you can use your real one." "Yes, <fem name.>" (bike mechanic gets moment of realization and starts treating me like I don't know what fucking pedals are, after I've spent the past hour talking shop about bike and electronics repair)
Was closeted in a queer dorm about three/four years on E. 5'10, Tits, Short hair, Dahmer glasses, the works. Everyone assumed I was a particularly lucky pre-T transmasc. I was moderately popular. When I finally came out everyone gave me the cold shoulder and started spreading rumors about me being a massive creep.
i imagine being white help a lot with this stuff. i have never had someone gender me properly even when they recognize my white GF standing right next to me as trans and at least attempt to gender her correctly
the amount of times i watched as the light leave a transmasc's eyes as they realized they just had a nice conversation with a Black trans woman instead of a Black trans man is absurd and always soul crushing. so much talk about standing with your sisters, but you get upset when you have to talk to a woman, and especially when that woman isn't cis.
in nonqueer spaces everyone thinks i'm a cis man, in queer spaces everyone thinks i'm a trans man. it's fucking agonizing to live in a society that constantly thinks you're a man, and even when given access to womanhood (incredibly rare, usually in online spaces), there's always an assumption i'm butch, i'm dominant in sex, and would perfectly fit the role of a man in the household.
at times the pull to detransition and/or end my life is very tempting, because it feels like i'd have to dress like a barbie doll to maybe, possibly hear "miss" something... occasionally. i either gotta erase all my Blackness or erase all my womanhood and i think when a trans man praises me on how i'm so "genderfuck-y" i'm reminded why i hate men and want to die.

Need a motivationjob from a girl with big goals
the situation with harry potter is kind of unprecedented in some ways imo because it is maybe the largest media franchise in history to be created & owned by a single person who still has direct creative control over it. who is also a billionaire with significant cultural/political influence. like the usual "no ethical consumption under capitalism" type excuses shatter on impact when the bigoted author in question is logging onto twitter every day saying explicitly that when you buy the tim hortons ravenclaw donut she is using your donut money to fund the genocide of trans people. like with big franchises usually there's at least a little more diffusion of responsibility than this
im kind of obsessed with this graphic.
There are some fetishes that don't even like get my engine going I just love them because they r so charming. Like rubber fetishists I love to see them frolic in their getups it looks like they r having so much fun I'm like awwww the gas mask so cute awww fun sexy

Having a baby to prove your love with your partner is ridiculous. "Ohh, let's bring a whole third person into our relationship and, get this, we have to teach it how to be alive." Nonsense. My girlfriend and I could do the same thing with another tgirl, and she'll start out way better at Magic the Gathering than a baby.
the angel of all time
To be clear, all this YouTube nonsense is a ploy to get art of my fursona. This is true of most historians, but they won't discuss it out of pride. Herodotus was buried with hundreds of medallions of his slimthick hyenagator.
