sutton glanced and only caught half a glimpse of the piece she was working on. he turned back to his phone, whatever game he was playing was much more interesting. âi donât think that yelling at your notebook will get you very far,â he said offhandedly.
Chloe looked and the boy and sighed. âThank you captain obvious. I was more so yelling at myself for not having the right colors.â
âhonestly, at this point, i doubt iâll ever walk on the streets again. itâs much more cautious to be driven where i need to go, clearlyâŚâ maryse said with a sigh, still glowering down at her clothes. âi guess this calls for a shopping spree. thereâs no way i can wear this for the rest of the dayâŚ.â
âBut traffic is annoying. I swear itâs just as bad as New York here.â Chloe said and shook her head. âWhy not go change instead of buying a whole new outfit?â
âhey, cutie. whatâs up?â alana asked, noticing the frustration in chloeâs tone. she sat down beside her and slowly peaked over at the notebook before looking back up a chloe with a slight pout. âwhatcha drawing?â
âI can not for the life of me get the detailing right on these leaves. I donât have the right colors.â Chloe said and sighed, shutting the notebook and putting in her bag to finish later. âJust the sunset. It looked really pretty today so.âÂ
Usually Chase didnât bother himself with other people, but he was a work in progress. âWhat?â He looked over at the girl sitting near him, her drawing looked immaculate to him. âWhatâs wrong with it?â Chase knew absolutely nothing about art, but he knew enough to know that she was talented.Â
Chloe sighed and shook her head. âI canât get the detail right on the leaves. I donât have the right colors for it.â She decided she was going to give up and finish the detailing later. âItâs not important, just wanted to capture the beauty.â
Chloe was trying to draw the sunset over the trees but she was having a hard time getting the detail on the leaves with the supplies she had. âCome on! I just need this to work.â She said and slammed the notebook.Â
âclearly you donât understand the significance of what just happenedâ otherwise you wouldnât be so flippant about it!â maryse scoffed, frowning and looking down at her ensemble. here she was, in public, gracing the masses with her presence, and as soon as she hit the pavement, a damn car had hit a puddle and absolutely drenched her with murky rainwater and what she could only describe as road sludge. âhonestly, i need one of those full body decontamination showers that they have in radioactive areas or something. i donât think iâll ever be clean againâŚâ
âThis is why I stand on the opposite of the sidewalk now. I can not stand to be hit by rainwater.â Chloe said and shuddered at the thought. She has been in Maryseâs position before and knows hw much it sucks and feels.Â
â IâM PAYING ATTENTION. â emi says, although her head doesnât lift from her textbook. she had invited the other to grab a cup of coffee as she had a break between some of her classes, yet here she was â not paying attention in the slightest. â i heard what you said. something about the coffee being delicious, right? â she hums, flipping the page in her book not bothered by the fact that she wasnât correct at all.
Chloe let out a laughed and shook her head. âI was actually asking what was so intriguing about that textbook, as you canât seem t lift your head from it.âÂ
Chloe is the youngest child of Robert and Annabelle Cunningham. She has two older brothers who both went to Havard, one for pre-law and one for pre-med.Â
Chloeâs family is known for their doctors and lawyers and tend to own a lot of different businesses, i.e. hospitals, law firms, chain store. They also tend to hold places in congress, her uncle being in the senate and her other uncle being in the House of Representatives, her grandfather being a former supreme court justice.Â
When it came time for Chloe to go to college, her parents wanted her to go to school for business so she could understand everything about the businesses her family ran and anything her husband would run.Â
She was forced to go out with the son of a senator who was a pre-law student at Princeton. He was a stuck up only child who came from a rich family and always got what he wanted, something he uses as a power over people.
Chloe undermined her parents and went into school as a communications major since she figured sheâd have a lot of crisis in her professional life due to who she was.Â
Chloe decided she had had enough of the constant pressure of being a trophy wife when her wedding was a mere 2 weeks away, right before her sophomore year of college. She used the excuse of needing a spa weekend away by herself to flee her family and start over.
She cashed out as much money as her bank would allow and fled to London overnight.Â
She thought she left that world behind but did she?
