After Dark - Truly One (1994)

Great track from Dave Charlesworth of the Guiness Track fame. Another one that reminds me of AWOL tapes, I think this is the less well known of the tunes called 'Truly One' that use that Richard Nixon to Neil Armstrong sample. The other one came a year later and from Origin Unknown who were on fire at that point.

This one is all about the noises at 0:48. Shiver. I always wondered whether the female vocal is actually shouting 'Hannahhhhhhhhhhh'. Who is she? Is she late for tea?

The Bombsquad - Freebass (D.O.P.E. Remix 1) (1993)

You can tell this is D.O.P.E, the remix has elements of the smasher they released on Good Looking around the same time (Travelling Part 2). Not sure this track is especially wel known but I love the sounds. Good times.

I never had this tune and was quite surprised to find it was Photek (with Rob Solomon of Lexis / Universal fame). Lovely little jungle stepper. Summer vibes for a winter morning!

Cool Hand Flex - Must Feel (1994)

Quintessential jungle track. I seem to remember Randall starting one of his AWOL sets with this and mixing in the Ray Keith remix of Peace Sign. I'm mixing those in my head right now. I have a silly smile on my face.
