Sand Planet’ / Art by Chomé
Here is my Fan art for Kenshi Yonezu’s (HACHI) song ‘Sand Planet/DUNE’ right off of his new album ‘BOOTLEG’.
Needless to say, I am a big fan of his tremendous talent! 👏
I had lots of fun drawing this! Especially the ‘Miku’ at the front who I named ‘Kako’, short for ‘Kakoii’ which means ‘cool’ in Japanese. Of course…it was because she’s looks too cool! 😁
Lastly, I now have a brand new facebook page! So feel free to share and follow me so you won’t miss out!

‘Warmth Seeker’
Fact: Climate change is causing a refugee crisis.
Nearly 22 million people have been forcibly displaced since 2008 due to climate changed-related weather hazards.
Source : UNHCR
Amidst the controversy, I find that there is this bittersweet irony as to how we, the public, view refugees in our society. On the one hand, many are very accepting of refugees in a community and in another, many shun them.
I’ve found out myself that Climate Change may be the undermining roots and factors that contribute to conflict and what we call the ‘refugee crisis’. So to know that, it is not only conflict that pushes people from their scarce homes, but in fact that because there is nothing, third parties will wage war to get to that material from another source and its a cycle that repeats.
So, in hopes to raise awareness, I hope my art can urge you to think deeper about climate change and act on it. Refugees are a big sign: the world is changing, our ecosystem shifting.
Barack Obama says,
“Some of the refugee flows into Europe originate not only from conflict, but also from places where there are food shortages that will get far worse as climate change continues.”
“No nation, whether it’s large or small, rich or poor, will be immune from the impacts of climate change.”
We, as humans must acknowledge how important it is to reduce our carbon footprint.
Thank you,
Chomé

『The Light』
Perhaps derived from a tragic point of view. 'The Light' depicts a bittersweet ending referring to the phrase 'The Light at the end of a tunnel.'
With the theme of ‘Akari’ which translates into ‘Light’, here is my submission for the #14 CLIP STUDIO PAINT Illustration Contest. So if you like what you see, please give it a like on Facebook! Thank you!
