A lot of the artists who participated on this wonderful album are here on Tumblr! Be sure to support them!
Letâs start by highlighting the standouts from this album, with every track (except for INTERLUDE, which is instrumental) featuring Rei Adachi on lead vocals!
(For those who need context, Rei Adachi is an UTAU (now a VOCALOID as well) voice bank made by missle39 as a fully synthesized voicebank similar to Defoko/Uta Utane!)
First of all, the album kicks off with Hypnopossumâs FUROR_MACHINAE and Electrovoidâs SMILE_OF_ABSOLUTE_DERANGEMENT! Both deliver stunning electrobeats and have fun twists on the sentient artificial intelligence!
VISIONS by keyesgen is a story of the chronically online through the lens of the machine, executed very well!
Glass Girl by Eggtan and Absence of Light by beat_shobon take a robotâs form of love in two opposite directions, one being the spark of it, the other the incapability thereof. Both extremely good songs!
0NE by Staircatte might be my favorite song on the A-side, with an electropop songâs vibes and the mindset of a killer tool (figuratively and literally)!
EDEN 4164616D by Dav-P and lyrics by Daybreak execute a command of the heaven-sent with visuals of an angelic Rei and existential lyrics!
INTERLUDE (Maiku Tachibana/0TS) and The Ruminations of Adachi Rei (Maiku Tachibana) fit so well despite them being the closers/openers of their respective sides! Tachibanaâs second track is in Japanese!
8 Billion Shapeshifters by Vuvuzela throws some J-rock into the mix of everything here! It doesnât seem to have a trustworthy English translation, howeverâŠ
World End Credits by Mage-P is whatâs going on my Armageddon playlist, maybe the whole album to be fair but THIS! RIGHT HERE!
Positive Result by 0TS has grown on me and buried me alive. The lyricism is actually relatable in a sense that mortality is inevitable, and you can have wishes but not real ideas of what will happen to you.
Atomize by WitchesWithGlitches is a sorrowful goodbye in the voice of a robot, with powerful and poetic lyrics!
Dance Delightful by Jamie Paige made me aware the album existed after finishing Constant Companionsâs deluxe edition, with joy and whimsy revolving around a robot who has taught to be real (pun intended)!
Wireframe by TOKiMADE is another Japanese track, a calmer track with a robotâs affirmations of love to her creator!
Finally, GIMMICK GIRL by MonochroMenace, a song that really drives home with the rock and existentialism and somewhat meta lyrics!
I decided to review all of the songs to show appreciation for this âholy shit /posâ album that I had the honor of being introduced to! In all, I would recommend it definitely!
