I just love carbonara Take it with a grain of salt because I am not Italian

This was the bomb honestly I can’t think of anything that would improve it 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

D - Garden Breakfast Cafe - South Hampstead, London, UK - £13.5

Honestly it confuses me. It feels like the sauce is 80% oil. And it’s good oil at least but I think it’s a bit of a stretch to call it a carbonara

B - L’Osteria Mannheim - Mannheim, Germany - €14.50

A bit of a departure from the carbonara formula, but it tastes very good so I don’t care. Though I have been walking for 4 hours straight and am very hungry so that may be influencing my opinion. Also, they provided me with infinite access to cheese 🙏🙏🙏

B - Strada, £19 - Southbank, London, UK

The sauce needed more cheese, was a bit on the runny side, without any bread to soak it up. However, the meat was very good.
