"Well, we've tried, but few people are able to keep up. I always win, since most of the others get nauseous either instantly or eventually from the warping." Nyx didn't know why he didn't suffer the same fate, but he was thankful for it. The nausea had been there, when he first had to get used to the power, but afterwards it went away and warping seemed to come naturally to him. It was one of the things that made him an excellent soldier, since he could use the power gifted to him to its full ability.
"Trying to catch you would definitely be a challenge, so I really hope you wouldn't hold back. More fun that way," and that was what Nyx wanted. A way to train that would be fun, yes, but also a way to really test his limits. That way they both got something out of it; something Noctis might appreciate as well. Nyx had a feeling the prince hated when things were a one-way street, after all.
Nyx smiled at Noctis' words, glad that the prince could see the benefits of Galahd's culture. "Yeah, I miss that feeling of community the most. We still get it down here in the slums, but it's not the same, y'know? Not when you only have to venture beyond our 'territory' before we're met with hostility. Breaks the illusion pretty easily." For that reason Insomnia would probably never feel like home, no matter how much they tried. There was a reason why they fought so passionately.
"– And hey, fishing is pretty important. Plenty of clans back home had fishing as their specialisation. With Galahd being surrounded by ocean, it's pretty important to make use of the resources it provides – hence the fishing. You'd fit right in, I'm sure." Honestly, Nyx was glad Noctis had a hobby he liked so much. He understood what the prince meant, though – it wasn't like Noctis could abandon the crown to pursue fishing. Nyx wouldn't have minded seeing Noctis in his element, though.
"Are there any fishing ponds in Insomnia? I admit I've never looked, but maybe we could go together sometime, Sunshine." It would be nice, Nyx decided. Maybe Noctis would find it odd, to spend more time with him outside of their duties as prince and guard, but Nyx liked to think otherwise. The prince had already agreed to visit the slums with him, after all.
Smiling at Noctis' flustered reaction, finding the sight slightly endearing, he decided not to tease the prince just this once. "Yeah, I'm happy to have so many reminders of home. As for what to buy..." Nyx thought about it as they walked, Yamachang's sign showing itself in the distance. "Perhaps a charm or something similar. We have different types, some meant to offer protection, others luck – that kind of stuff. We also have some stuff with more religious connotations, if that interests you. The Lucis Caelums have Bahamut as their patron deity, right? He might be harder to find stuff for, but it shouldn't be impossible." Nyx offered, idly wondering if Noctis would be interested in any of those. "Everything is handmade, so I can show you some after we have eaten and we'll see if anything catches your eye."
For now, food awaited them. They had just arrived at Yamachang's and Nyx greeted the man with a smile. "Send some skewers our way, would you? Some regular ones and some without vegetables. Oh, and a beer for me and – Sunshine, do you drink alcohol?" Nyx had already taken a seat, waiting for Noctis to do the same.
