Sorry this took so long to answer!

Noctis was on the brink of hyperventilation, his shallow breaths coming in short huffs as his lungs struggled to take in enough air. “I can’t- I can’t do this!” He gasped out, hands coming to grasp roughly at his raven locks. “I’m not- I can’t-“ the prince sucked in another breath, “what am I supposed to do? I can’t save anyone, how am I supposed to save everyone? I don’t know what I doing! Fuck I can’t-“ Noct’s hands were beginning to shake as he tugged harder at his hair in panic, his chest feeling tight and painful. “This is so fucked up- I can’t- I’m not cut out for this, fuck I can’t do this!” He whimpered slightly, chest still rising and falling at a rapid pace. “I can’t do anything and I-“ his panicked rambling was cut off by the hurried press of lips against his own, the kiss catching the prince by surprise. After a beat or two, they finally parted, allowing Noctis a deep breath, flooding his lungs with much needed oxygen. “That was.... thanks.” He mumbled, beginning to catch his breath, a thumb delicately traced over his lip as if savoring the feeling of being kissed. “I’m sorry, this is all just... hard.”
