Do you have any ships in TG? Or you just prefer to not ship anyone

Uhm, I rarely ship in general. Catching my attention is easy, but keeping my interest is harder. The chance is very low - maybe 3-5%. It also depends on various factors, such as the situation the characters are living in, room for progression, dynamics,… it’s quite complicated, haha.

So Touken (canon-wise) and Arisasa is basically everything I support/like/enjoy in TG. (´ ▽ `)ﾉ Let’s not forget that Arima-san died, so Kaneki and Touka could be together again… *ugly crying* Well, at least my man becomes a grandfather now. Maybe he never thought having his own family. And then there was Haise and the Quinx kids, the Garden kids and (hopefully) his own offspring. lolmao, he must watch from the sky, thinking “Okay, that did escalate quickly.”

How do you feel about Touken being canon?^^

Ah, I must confess I still feel undecided by the latest events. Overall, I’m quite happy how far they have come. When I think back on my days as a tumblr starter, the hashtag was almost empty. The fandom was so small, we clung together and wouldn’t let go of each other in the storm. (ಥ__ಥ) More clearly, I was able to stalk my own posts all the time. The dark father wasn’t always kind to us. If we had lost weight he made sure to feed us with illustrations from time to time. With such a good wind behind us, we were confident of passing through the dangerous night. I get very nostalgic right now.

However, I can’t repeat myself enough: I was disappointed by the way Sensei has handled his own characters with the latest arcs - Touka and Tsukiyama. Any form of former character development and (matured) mindset were temporarily gone in the wind as soon as Kaneki was present. It unavoidably lead to even more hatred toward our main heroine. (My personal favorite was the conversation between Amon and Touka, though.) Yeah, it still leaves me unfulfilled, angry, frustrated and irritated. Maybe I was expecting too much after all these years? Maybe I wasn’t able to get “Sensei’s jokes”?

I wonder if these things (examples) were really necessary in the end? \( ´□` )/ It can’t be helped but there’s a lot of personal frustration about the :re plot in general here. So many things can influence you and your reading experience in the end. Ah anon, hopefully you aren’t dissapointed by my reply. I’m actually a very honest person, and I don’t want to lie in front of you and my followers. └(・-・)┘ If someone wants to unfollow me like that: It’s fine. Really. I feel happy for those, who have celebrated the latest chapters and have passed the canon ceremony. The seeds grew very slowly and took years to bloom, but it was worth it. Maybe the hype train of my precious OTP will reach me someday as well. I have decided to make the move a while ago. So now I have just moved here to my new life. Over 400 kilometers away from home. It's been five weeks now - time really passes fast. I still can’t believe I have managed everything on my own. Honestly, I will need a few more months for a proper realisation. Just three more days and I will be able to use a stable internet service again. Things will probably be better soon. I hope you are doing fine? Did no one get eaten by a ghoul yet?

Well, I haven’t read a single TG:re chapter in a while as well. :re 85 was the last one (and some of you might understand my reasons). Seems the story has returned to its slice of life moments, focusing on Kaneki again. (I think we also got a heartwarming Touken reunion?) That’s quite refreshing! Hopefully this will increase my motivation a bit.

There are things I want to blog about soon so stay patient a little longer okay? I also received a few more TG related goodies I would like to share with you.

And the wallpapers are still on my to-do-list. No, I haven’t forgotten about them. It’s quite hard to work on them right. University keeps me busy. Orz…

The ARIMASPOI (Arimaspians) were a tribe of one-eyed men who lived at the foot of the Rhipaion (Rhipaean) Mountains in northern Skythia. 

Luckily, I am at my parents’ house this weekend [where I keep 90% of my books] and so I immediately jumped to grab Herodotus’s The Histories - a book I bought because it was a requirement in one of my CVSP courses [Civilizations]. Thanks to the references on this website [x], I immediately tracked down the excerpts and highlighted the relevant sections:

I wish I found it earlier; a lot earlier. What initially began as a mere act of teasing (which I was the victim of a friend's troll attack), was turned into a serious matter right after I got the literature script. A part of the German epic "Duke Ernst" (c. 1180) was probably inspired by the Greek mythology of Arimaspians itself.

"The duke arrives in the land of the rational and courtly Arimaspi. [...] The land of the one-eyed Arimaspi becomes home for Ernst to a period of six years. [...]"

So there is a highkey chance that Sensei chose Arima's name on purpose.
