the hardcover version will probably be 10USD more than the softcover version not including shipping (which will also cost more because of the extra weight), but i know some people were interested so… this is just to know if i should make the option available!

saw you answer an ask about when VRUNI would reach Penacony, and it actually reminded me of a lore piece that the game hinted at but never really outright confirmed in-game (to my knowledge) — it’s about Aventurine & Ratio using a pump & dump scheme (a la Wolf of Wallstreet) to destabilize Penacony’s economy in 2.0! I only recently found the threads & info dumps about it, so I was curious what you thought on it as a HSR lore enjoyer :3 I can also share the posts that talk about it if you’re curious~

hello! I’m loving your fic Veritas vs Universe ❤️ however, I was actually rereading it when I got to ch 10 and noticed something that confused me due to a section in the current arc… if it’s okay I’d like to ask you about it here! if not feel free to ignore this ask I won’t be offended lol

In Ch 10 there’s this thought of Ratio as he watches Aventurine in the lottery arena:

“After all, what could a scrawny teenager have done in a fight to the death against so many others stronger than him?

Hide.

(And if it had worked once… why wouldn’t it work again?)”

to my knowledge, this is implying that in A:SR, it gave some backstory to Aventurine’s time as a slave so Ratio is aware of it to draw this conclusion. But in chapter 14 in the current arc, you mentioned that Ratio only knows of his past as the sole survivor of the Avgins & nothing else. Sorry if this seems nitpicky, I’m just trying to understand “how much” Ratio learned about Aventurine through A:SR 😅 thank you for your time!! I love your fic, and I’m so excited for the rest of the current arc even if I’m Panicking LOL

hello! thank you so much for reading! to answer your question, basically, instead of attributing this to his time as a slave, ratio thinks that this incident happened during aven’s ascension to stoneheart status. i hope this clears up the confusion! we’ll learn more about what he does / doesn’t know soon, dw!

hello miss cakecats! i discovered vrvsuni so recently, only after chapter 17 came out ... and as someone who absolutely loves hsr's lore, i'm really touched by the fact that you put so much meticulous detail into keeping it consistent and even expanding on it in vrvsuni! (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠) it makes me so happy, and it's especially fun to realise there's a bunch of things i recognise, one example being when i saw the curios referenced at the auction scene. to tell you the truth, this is the first fic i've ever read in my whole life. and as someone who isn't even interested in reading fics, i absolutely love it, will definitely keep reading it, and am patiently waiting for updates. please take your time and remember to take care of yourself 🥹🥹 (i even ended up coming across your fic about hyacine! strawberry moon! and it's so cool how you incorporated parts of her lore into the setting!! your writing is very nice ♡)

also, i saw ch19 got released 4 hours ago... i haven't read it yet, but i'm in such suspense... what's gonna happen!?!? (⁠°⁠□⁠°)

omgggg another lore enjoyer !! i loveee hsr’s lore sm and this fic is kinda my love letter to it, in a way. it’s also meant to be a rewarding read for other lore enjoyers so i’m rly happy u felt it <33

YOUR FIRST FIC … ratio vs the universe is truly a story that cannot be separated from the original material, so it’s absolutely, 100%, FANfiction, and i will try to be the best example i can i promise !! (i’m also very proud of strawberry moon hehe.)

arcs-wise, i have 3 planned before dr ratio’s first ingame appearance, but 2 of them will be VERY short, as in maybe 3-5 chapters max. after that will be a BIG arc, although idk if it’ll be as long as briros, and then crown of mundane + divine which is quite short, then penacony! i’ll also have a LOT more spare time next year so hopefully i will be able to finish those short, snappy arcs much quicker.

i know it sounds really long, but they’ll be interesting i swear, and bc they’re so fast-paced i’ll push them out much faster (im much better at writing fast-paced chapters, if the time gap between ch18 and 19 is any indication). i have some pretty cool plans if i do say so myself :))

I got to ch 18 Ratio va Universe and a part confused me, hoping it’s okay if i ask it here!

The cannon. That, Veritas remembers. “But then — ” his mind whirls, unable to fit this new piece of information anywhere into the puzzle called Briros. “Who proposed to Aventurine?”

“Prince Naorem did.”

How come Ratio called him Aventurine here and not John to Princess Sihomy? She calls him John usually, but was she made aware who John really is since he’s a “performer” and all so Ratio calls him Aventurine in front of her now in private?

i loved ch 18 and am truly terrified what’ll happen next, even if i know *eventually* they’ll be safe & away from briros but i fear for how traumatized will they be… sobs…

hello! love your fic. it’s got great characterization and i’m coming up with new theories abt the system as we speak 👀 love the ratiorine too obviously but i admit that the little mystery with the system has me in a chokehold haha i’m CONVINCED its not “just” a machine. it’s someone we know. i just can’t prove it yet……..

on a sidenote, i’m super curious abt your background. do you do anything with science? (and if not, would you be interested in feedback on that?)

Veritas Ratio V.S. The Universe changed my LIFE I cannot fucking thank you enough. Blessed be you and everything you do, author!!! I love seeing how much time and care you’ve put into it with the sheer attention to detail in the world-building and research:) the story’s progression is really satisfying, to boot, and idk what it is about it but it’s got me invested like I’ve never been in a fanfic before. maybe it’s the autism speaking but REGARDLESS I love this fic, thank you so much for writing it and remember to take breaks!!! I cannot fathom how tedious researching and writing it might be

I am so in love with your writing. Veritas Ratio V.S the Universe is my favorite fic I've ever read. I started reading it when chapter 10 was the newest update and every chapter since has been the high light of my month! When I stumbled into the website in the chapter 15 notes I lost my mind over how excited I was! Currently I've managed to wrangle a few friends into reading it and I think I've never been so in love with a work as I am this one! Thank you so much for the effort, time and skill you have put into this fic it truly does mean so much to me.

so idk if you take asks, but in case you do, how far into the game with Veritas Ratio V.S. the Universe go? like, will we meet the trailblazer? will we go to Penacony? will it line up with the timeline of the irl game?

i do take asks, don’t worry !!! veritas ratio vs the universe is planned to go up to penacony + a little bit after that (and yes, it will line up with the timeline of hsr — it’s canon compliant as of rn but hoyo may change things), and there will be an epilogue too :D
