Conclusion @shitwheresfoxy and I came to is: the photo everyone knows is edited for them to be closer together (look at the head spacing between Connor and Tyler and Troye and Joey. It's definitely the same photo edited because all the faces /Dan's hand position is exactly the same. We have spent an hour and a half digging and researching but the only thing we could find predating 16th of June 2019 was this reblog on Max's blog which looks looks a lot more real.
