âI suppose youâve got me there,â he said. âAnd this is one hell of a party if I may say so.â Heâd never seen this level of detail go into planning an event. ( his products maybe, but that was different than this kind of detail, though equally as impressive ) âGeorgie?â he said, leaning toward her with a coy grin. âYou wouldnât be trying to flirt with me, would you?â It was the opposite really. ( heâd been flirting with almost everyone he spoke to ) âIâll toast to that.â He grabbed a glass as well then raised it in her direction before downing the whole thing.Â
âParis is indeed.â Normally, heâd make a joke about the French being snooty and uptight, but he refrained. ( especially since his beautiful sister-in-law was french and neither snooty nor uptight ) He raised his eyebrows. âWell, Iâm glad itâs served you well, but if you ever need anyone hexed, you look me up. That kind of behavior is unacceptable.âÂ
It was unintentional, maybe back in school she wouldnât of dared to of been so flirty. Cedric had done the initial chasing, she falling for him charms and compliments she rarely had to do any flirting- and then there was Harry....a fucking disaster by any measure. And she wasnât confident back then. But now? She liked having the agency to say or do what she pleased and she looked up at him, slowly running her bottom lip through her teeth as she batted her eyelashes slowly. âHmm, if I knew it would get me something, absolutely. But iâm afraid youâre just not my type.â she replied, tone sweet and a small laugh followed.Â
âBut, Iâll happily accompany you to Paris if youâre serious about the market there, I have some contacts we could look into. Who knows, maybe show you some secret locations I found on my travels, get up to some fun and adventure. I can imagine you need some by now?â she queried, wondering just how he had kept himself over the years. Just working was a ball ache. She couldnât imagine it. âAnd youâre cute, really, but I can look out for myself- however I will swing by to see what new products you have, ooooh, maybe you could release your own line of tricks or things for protection? I'm sure thereâs a neat market for that. Joke lipstick, with a sleeping draught maybe- if someoneâs not getting the hint, one quick peck on the lips and itâs night night.âÂ
âHellva a way to come back to the country,â George said as he sipped his drink. âAlmost as good as leaving Hogwarts in a blaze of fireworks.â It was better actually because there was alcohol involved, but he figured it was best not to let her head get too big. ( besides, their exit from hogwarts was the one thing the twins had left behind at hogwarts; neither one of them were prefects, they werenât up for head boy or quidditch captain; their exit was how theyâd be remembered and he was fine with that )Â
âI donât remember you having quite the smart mouth in school,â he quipped his eyebrows raised. âBut yes, Iâm still a charming fucker.â As was evidenced by his show on the dance floor earlier. âI am. Shopâs good and Iâm hoping to open up a new branch in France soon. Paris could use some mayhem.â He winked for emphasis.Â
She shrugged with a smirk. âAlmost I suppose. Although, thereâs a huge difference between causing pure chaos and causing pure party.â she still remembered that day, it was a moment in history and no doubt would turn into legend and passed down to all students who even dared try to hold the title. âA lot changes over the years, Georgie. As well as people. Thereâs no point in not saying things, you know? People will either like it or hate it and I donât have a single fuck in me left to care how it goes over.â she added, picking up a glass that was placed on the bar in front of her.Â
Lurid green in colour she held it out towards his. âAnd Paris is a tough market but if anyone could do it, it would be you. I still carry pieces of Fever Fudge wherever I go, do you know how much of a life saver it is getting out of situations where fuckers just canât take no for an answer? So, I guess cheers to new adventures and endeavours!â
Vivian didnât expect anyone to approach her. ( and if they did, she expected them to try to spit on her or something ridiculous like that ) However, she was pleasantly surprised to see a follow Ravenclaw approach her. Cho was younger than her, but she remembered the smart little girl when she was Head Girl. Viv nodded and glanced down as the word obligated slipped past the other girls lips. ( of course she shouldnât have gotten her hopes up, even cho was friendly enough towards her )Â
âThanks,â she said as she took the offered wine glass. âAnd Iâm not really a party person. I mostly came for the alcohol.â She lifted the glass her hostâs direction and offered a small smile. Then she took a sip. âGive my compliments to the house. Itâs a great vibe. Even I can tell that.â And she meant it. If she had been into things like this, she would have liked the atmosphere with the lights and the music.
âWell, we have plenty of that!â she assured, with a laugh as she took a deep sip of her own drink. âIt wonât always be this crazy, the idea is to have theme nights and set nights for different crowds, so who knows, maybe Iâll end up twisting your arm to come back.â she added, before placing a hand on her upper arm comfortingly. She didnât know fully what had happened with Vivian or any of the others who had been on that side of things, it had been so long she barely had time or care to hate everyone- only a few would ever remain strong, but she was old enough and travelled enough now to let things be in most cases.Â
âAnyone is welcome in my club, anyone and everyone, I promise that.â she didnât want to pry, it wasnât her place. âAnd I will personally kick anyoneâs ass who tries to make you leave. Own your shit yeah? Fuck everyone else.â it wasnât as if Viv, Goyle or Draco personally murdered her friends. It was the reason she had intentionally tracked down residences and invited them. It might of also been that Cho was not against making statements nowadays.Â
George grinned when he realized who it was. He hadnât seen Cho Chang in years. ( she was in katieâ year and still quite pretty ) Itâd been a shame how everyone had treated her in school even though sheâd never done anything wrong. ( it had been wrong how theyâd treated her friend, too; george had only realized that years later ) She looked phenomenal in her shorts and jacket. He couldnât think of anyone who could pull it off better than her. âWell, if it isnât Cho Chang,â he said. âItâs been too long.â
âThis is very much my thing,â he said. âAnd I really like it. Itâs got a great combination of both the Muggle and the magical worlds and the music is killer.â The whole club had been hopping since heâd gotten here and he didnât expect it to die down until dawn. His head whipped toward her at the last comment. âYou own this?â he asked. âWell, fuck me. Congrats, Cho. Itâs great and youâve done a banger job with the place.âÂ
She preened, with a flick of her head sending her long hair over her shoulder as she nodded. âThank you! After years of partying on different continents, I wanted to bring something back. Iâm glad you approve.â she said, her smile wide and warm. She was proud of herself, the night was going off with a bang so far and she enjoyed playing host to faces she thought she had long left behind. Her comeback was designed just so, no more emotional wreck, instead she was confident and healthy and ready to call out some people who needed it.Â
âItâs good to see not much has changed, still a charming fucker arenât you?â she questioned, knowing she hadnât a personal issue with this particular Weasley. She had never really gotten the chance to know him more outside of DA lessons but she always remembered how he and Fred were such characters. âYou still running your joke shop?âÂ
hot in the best way possible. Heâd been late to the party. ( not by design, and heâd been afraid heâd never make it through the front door ) When heâd finally arrived, heâd been amazed at the place. It was gorgeous with that mirrors and lights. ( george expected heâd end up in one of those guarded rooms before the night ended ) Instead of staying inside, he headed up stairs and enjoyed the cool air on the roof. Verity had been there and heâd chatted with her for a while before theyâd hit the dance floor. He abandoned the roof when she found some pretty girl to snug.Â
So, George found himself downstairs on the dance floor. Everyone was friendly. ( more so than usual because of New Yearâs most likely ) Eventually, he ended up between a boy and a girl, grinding more than dancing. When the song changed, George excused himself from the lovely duo and slowly made his way to the bar. Wiping the sweat from his forehead, he finally made it to the other end of the room, a huge grin on his face. Only to bump into someone. âSorry about that,â he said, his hand shooting out to catch an elbow. âYou alright?âÂ
Even with heeled boots it was a struggle at times to be noticed in the darker areas of the club. Even though everyone else was having fun, Cho was in work mode making sure everyone was enjoying themselves, no one was misbehaving in the wrong sort of way and that everything was running smoothly. She had just dropped off another couple of bottles from the cellar when she felt someone bump into her and she was about to curse them a new one until she saw who it was and she looked up at him with an air of surprise.Â
âIâm short. It happens.â she responded, coolly, before fixing a smile and stepping out the way of another patron waiting for the bar. âI didnât think this wouldâve been your thing, but iâm glad you could make it. Are you enjoying yourself?â she asked, genuinely wanting to know but also rhetorically. âIâm going by the sweaty demeanour that its going to be a yes, but humour me and inject this ego further.â she added with a wicked grin. It was her club, she was going to make it known just who they should thank.
Like a queen surveying her queendom, she stood on the top terrace overlooking the rooftop layout, flute in one hand and a smug look of pride. In herself more than anything. It was a hit, more than she had thought and some of the faces that had appeared were a pleasant surprise. Maybe things were changing, she only hoped she would have a good tenure before her providing a respite for all the younger adults (and older, if you were still down like that) she had avoided big conversations so far, the mass of bodies distracting people enough but by now it must be known she was the owner and she was home.Â
Looking to her left, she saw a solitary figure and she pursed her lips. No, that wouldnât do and she waltzed over, leaning beside them with a coy smile. âIâm almost obligated to ask if youâre enjoying yourself and if not, what can I do to turn that pretty frown upside down?â she asked, clicking her fingers, another flute of sparkling wine appearing in her hand from a passing waiter as she passed it across to them. âCompliments of the house.â
cho mei chang - introduction:  â  i did this for me, not for you, or you and especially not you.  â
{ cis-female, 23, she/her, brianne tju } during the trial of voldemortâs last major conspirators, cho chang was spotted. they work for self employed events management. rumor has it they are individualistic + cultured, but iâve heard they're demanding + provocative. during the battle of hogwarts they fought for the order. when i think of them, iâm reminded of sakura gin & tonics, blue ribbons against jet black hair, regretful memories of emotional teenage hormones, the call of the sea, a flap of raven wings against the crisp wind and binders full of postcards and stamps of long explored places.

HISTORY: Cho was born to Chandra Ndari and Jinhai Chang. She is third generation immigrant with settled Scot status and nationality. Her parents run their own hotel called Nira Caledonia- a Chinese themed luxury boutique hotel which is still up and running in the current day and age. Cho grew up helping her parents with little tasks, and summers were spent on the desk or serving in the attached restaurant. Cho had a very nice upbringing, her parents didnât tiger her, instead they encouraged her to do what they wanted. Her mother Chandra, a witch noticed early on that Cho had inherited the gene and Jinhai was perfectly okay having two witches in the house. He did anything possible to learn what he could to support her for when sheâd eventually start Hogwarts.Â
When she started school she was excited to learn more about her magical heritage and being placed in Ravenclaw was certainly a happy choice. She thrived in her house, being challenged constantly was refreshing and living up to so many notable witches and wizards who had been in the house previously was something she kept to drive her in her studies. Courteous, sweet, somewhat shy she was oblivious as she got older at how much people began to admire her- and not admire her in a way of her studious personality or talents, but physically and didnât know the effect she had on some of the students. She never considered herself beautiful, or hot, conventionally pretty to a certain degree but nothing special. But when the Yule Ball occurred in her fifth year, Cedric Diggory, who was considered one of the schoolâs most eligible bachelors alongside being a good study friend asked her to the ball. She felt like great big neon sign had been placed above her. And then Harry Potter of all people asked her and it sent her into a frenzy of self doubt and expectation she wasnât entirely ready for. But then Cedric asked to date her and she said yes and he was the most charming, sweetest man she could imagine. It didnât matter to her that he was a Hogwartâs Champion, she just liked being looked after and loved.Â
That of course came crumbling down, eight months of dating ended in one curse and a fall of a body. The death of Cedric affected her badly, she became emotional, unstable, every little thing reminded her of him and her first love was gone and she had to continue on. Her school work suffered, her grades beginning to plummet and her sixth year came around and she had this insane panic of an entire year before taking NEWTS and she was so behind. She tried to be brave in front of people in her sixth year, but it became impossible to keep up with how much Cedricâs death was still a topic of discussion. And the threat of Voldemort being back weighed over her. She believed Harry, of course she did, he didnât seem like the type to lie about such a thing. So when the DA was started and the tyrannical reign of Umbridge began she jumped at the chance to learn more from him and to make a step in making herself better. If she could protect herself, build her confidence, just maybe she could get through this. She even opened up to the idea of dating Harry, who seemed to still be interested in her. But she wasnât ready, everything was still too raw and she found the friendship she had created with him falling apart as their attempt of dating also did. And then Marietta, one of her closest best friends caved under the pressure and Cho found herself standing up for her friend but poisoning the others against her instead. As if she were also the one to grass everyone up. The cursed parchment was a nasty trick, something Cho wouldnât forgive purely for the humiliation and pain Marietta had to put up with. It was easy for people to be righteous when they didnât know all the facts, that Marietta had been forced, pressured, the threat of her mum getting in trouble and lengths Umbridge went to in her office to get people to confess or spill their secrets.Â
(everything leading up to the battle is canon up to this point - i could write hours of Choâs canon past)
Cho went back for the 7th year, alongside Marietta, Mandy, Terry, Michael etc. But it was the final year she had thought it would be. The Ministry was taken over, the school alongside it. The school year was brutal, half their friends and school mates were gone, the unknowing of their fates kept them all on their toes and their heads down just trying to survive. Being able to live simply because their blood was different to others. It was barbaric and traumatic and Cho had managed about three months of it until she had taken some of her house and went to go hide in the Room of Requirement. When Luna was snatched just after Christmas she alongside others felt helpless. Even in the holidays people werenât safe. Those who hid there over the months, with more and more joining as the days and weeks passed meant everyone got used to living in such close quarters. It was like a haven inside a prison and Cho had taken it upon herself to learn alongside some others more healing spells and general medical aid to help those who came to seek refuge. The year passed and soon became May and alongside it, the eventual battle. The elation she had felt seeing Harry, Ron, Dean and Luna, hell even for a fraction of a second, Hermione turned up from the secret passageway it felt like salvation had finally come.Â
The battle had been long, tiring and full of despair. She had been alongside Marietta and Michael when both were struck, Michael went down with an Avada and Marietta was hit with a curse which sent a gash from navel to throat alongside her body. Whatever they had learnt in the DA felt hopeless, Cho had battled her best, tears streaming and coated in her best friends blood. Marietta didnât have to stay and fight, she wouldnât have blamed her, but the guilt she still felt at what had happened two years before made her resolute to stay and help. Because of her selflessness Marietta died and Cho witnessed numerous friends fall. When the battle was finally over, when Voldemort was dead and those who still lived gathered together Cho had sat in the hall alongside what remained of her house and thought about each and every person she had loved which had been slain.Â
She couldnât find a way to cope, she was exhausted from feeling anything and within weeks she had dropped off the face of the earth. No one knew where sheâd gone, no one knew how she was, only she knew she couldnât go home and she couldnât find a way to move past it. So she had packed a bag, grabbed her passport and funds and left to go find herself. She had to process and grieve in the own way and she couldnât wait to experience the aftermath. She found herself travelling around the world, never staying in one country more than a few months. The more she moved, the more she healed, and the more she experienced the more she began to change. And it was good, she immersed herself in culture and tradition and learnt about others. Already trilingual, her travels turned her into a polyglot. With Chinese, Indonesian, Spanish, Hindi, Turkish, Sinhalese and Polish under her belt Cho found it easy to start coming into her own. Languages became a passion and the amount of work which opened up for her due to her extensive and ever growing array of languages started her in a career of event planning. Working alongside gaining life experiences, Cho has gone snorkelling, deep sea diving, paragliding, bungee jumping, camel riding, learned jujitsu, experienced festivals and carnivals and it was in Brazil, almost three years since the war she spotted the first person she had left behind. Purely by chance, at least she wanted it to be, she found herself face to face with Dean Thomas and his family. She stayed a month, both of them reconnecting and Cho found herself opening up about her disappearance and what she had been doing- at least three of those weeks were spent fucking around and fucking. They had bonded over the war, connected in a way she didnât feel she could connect with anyone back in the UK. It wasnât feelings based, her travels so far had gotten her many dalliances under her belt- men, women, it didn't matter, she wanted it all. She was living her best life and the weeks spent with Dean were a brief thing to remind her of what once was home.Â
When he asked her to come back, not with him or with promise of anything more between them, simply because she belonged there she had packed that very night and moved on, leaving him a postcard with a simple âIâm sorry, I canâtâ. For the remainder of her time travelling, she took on more and more experiences and soon the emotional, dramatic little girl she had left back on the small island was gone and instead there was a personality of her own. She was strong, cultured, open and very into living in the moment and she picked up numerous techniques from her travels to help with keeping her on her track. So when she had finally gotten an email from her mother, saying her father was sick and they werenât sure how long he had she found herself back in the rainy highlands of Scotland and back to a place she had long left behind. It turned out to be a temporary thing, her father bounced back during the weeks she was home and surprisingly, Cho found herself wanting to stay longer. So she did. She kept to Scotland for a few more months, working with clubs and promoting events and finally decided that the woman she had become was enough to maybe start again. So she found herself travelling into England and living in London. It was during a very early morning stroll through Diagon, intent on avoiding anyone familiar she discovered a location long since boarded up and the idea struck her on what she wanted to do.Â
With news of the trials and other things concerning the minds of its inhabitants, no one really paid attention to the slow renovation of the building nor what was going on inside. When she was ready she would announce it, there would be no hiding but if she was going to be here, she was going to do something she loved. And what was best than parties, events and clubbing. She hasnât announced her return to anyone, but thatâs soon to change and would anyone recognise the tornado which had landed on their doorstep?Â
