on this one year anniversary of kai’s return to tvd, where he promptly saved the entire trainwreck of a show, i will remind you all that chris wood, swarmed with supergirl filming, yeeted off that set so fast and dropped that fandom without two seconds of hesitation in order to be malachai one last time for us. he had become dead to the twittersphere since encountering the toxic sg fanbase, but, with his return to tvd, actively tweeted and pinned #kaiforever before immediately blanking as soon as he left the show again. when doing his livestream months later, he giggled about kai and his hobbies while proceeding to answer a single vague supergirl question that had nothing to do with the characters or fanbase. what a big mood.

It must have been a trip for him. Escaping to play a character who is adored by fans and the media alike and then having to go back to sg, where he is very much not. I feel bad for him.

Should have just given Kai his own spin off.
