His eyes lingered on hers for a moment longer before he added, with that teasing glint she knew so well, "Though I'll admit, the view just got a lot better." He shifted, turning to face her more fully, his arm slipping around her waist beneath the surface of the water. The way she looked up at him made his heart do that unsteady thing again, the one he still wasn't entirely used to but he loved. He'd dated before, sure, but this was different. Every time she looked at him like that, it reminded him of why he'd fallen for her in the first place. "A distraction?" he murmured, his thumb tracing lazy circles against her back. "If that's what you're offering, I think I'd be a fool to turn it down." Right now, right there, with her, surrounded by the endless expanse of turquoise and sky, Chris realized he could travel the world a hundred times over and never find a view that compared to the one right in front of him. "Do you think we broke the internet with the post I made? I couldn't bear the idea of other men out there thinking they had a chance with you." Not that he was possessive or anything, but he liked things on their right place, and even if they haven't had that conversation yet, he was certain about his feelings and what he expected from this.
