@ the ladies
wouldn’t it be cool if we could like… be ugly… but then…. not be considered subhuman for it
I am very into the unpopular “lets all accept our ugliness and just be fine with it” like no need to pretend to be beautiful when most of us are average at best. I have 99 problems but whenever i belong to the internalized social norm for beauty is not one. It quite liberating to be average or just plain ugly.
But beauty even for self fulfilment issues or as a mean to express positivity, “binds” you either way.
Then… why don’t you just ignore whatever these so called “social norms” are? You guys make me laugh, you’re all so entirely ridiculous and childish. If you have a problem you must announce it to the world instead of saying “I don’t like this thing, therefore, I shall discard it in favor of what I do like” as any rational adult of days gone by would do.
I’ve never been concerned with what the status of beauty is. But whatever it is, it’s fine. Some people can fit that vision, some people cannot. I am one of those that cannot, but instead of whining about it I move off from it because it’s not something I needs must bother about.
There’s absolutely nothing “binding” about wanting to be beautiful or considering yourself a beauty. Literally absolutely nothing. Unless of course you choose to make it a severe, terrible issue that must be immediately dealt with.
Honestly, what I’m seeing here is a temper tantrum. You don’t hold to what the standard of beauty is considered to be, therefore you’d rather it be abolished than letting someone be considered “prettier” than you. Because instead of letting it be about personality you must constantly go and make it about the appearance and the identity (I mean here how a person identifies to some particular thing or organization or political thing). I wonder how long it will take all of you to realize that you’re not helping anyone in the future, you’re only hurting them.
I am not as beautiful as most women, and that doesn’t bother me. It is a fact I cannot change and do not mind, because my cleverness and wit make up for it, I’d like to believe. A woman can be as beautiful as a goddess and have the intelligence of a thimble and the personality of a straw. For me, I never look at outward appearance, it’s all about your soul (mind, spirit, aura, whatever).
If only you could make it about the internal instead of the external, then you would be making progress. Until then you’re all just children scrabbling about in the dirt complaining about how much more dirtier you are than a clean child in the distance, and how that clean child’s appearance annoys you because it forces you to recognize your own inferiority or lack of self-consideration that now you feel you suddenly have in comparison.
Bother about yourselves, ladies, stop eyeing everyone else with discontent. Because oftentimes, what makes a woman beautiful isn’t her beauty, it is how her internal personality shines through as she goes about living (I mean here her manner of speech and attitude and the way she speaks to someone whom she is displeased with or feels is beneath her in some way or on subject, or how she behaves in a stressful situation). For me a person will always be measured by their internal selves, than how they outwardly look.
And before I go: no one considers you subhuman for not being pretty, that’s absolutely ridiculous! Please let that notion die immediately! I am ugly and yet I don’t lower myself to such baseness of thinking. How you think is what controls you, and if you think such degrading and low opinions about yourself or others, then you are yourself degrading and low as a human being. So reframe that mindset, please; it’s stupid and abysmal.
next person to use the word “pussy pass” unironically is getting pissed on
i’m here to drown the swerfs in my dirty tiddy money
one of my ultimate pet peeves is people saying fucking “harbringer”
whats confusing about this
I never learnt what the word means but I’ve seen it before
I’m slightly intimidated by the existence of the word
harbinger is a person or thing that signals the arrival of another. what annoys me is when people put another R in it for no reason
and I’m pretty sure it’s pronounced “Har-binge-er” not “har-bring-er”
yeah thats what the post is about
plus I don’t even think it has an “R” after the “B”???
it doesnt. thats what the post is about
one thing that bothers me is when they pronounce it wrong and put a second r after the b. i wish someone would make a post about that
