HAUS OF JAYDON BY EMILY BROOKE PHOTOGRAPHY PART 1 It's been a while since I posted on here! I didn't get to become a finalist in the Hand and Lock 2015 Competition (can you believe I haven't updated anything since then lol) because I really thought I was in for a chance and didn't get in, I took a little break and then created a mini collection using the Coat as inspiration! Although I didn't get to shoot the whole range because of fit issues etc, I still got some good images of half of it, also features some of the old collection too! A lot different to what I am used to but I feel like the vibe is still the same More from me to come yet . . . Christopher Jaydon
David Wojnarowicz wore this jacket in 1988, just 4 years before he’d ultimately die from AIDS. Sadly, just a few years ago some of his artistic work was censored at the Smithsonian. People in power are still content to try and erase his history and the continued struggles of people with AIDS

I’ve recently come across this amazing capsule collection made by the extremely talented Christopher Jaydon! The deconstruction/construction of the denim is absolutely incredible, the close up embellishment details and layered prints are fantastic! The model is stunning and a perfect representation of the clothing! I can’t stress my love for this enough - it’s new! It’s fresh! And I haven’t seen this side of denim before! BEAUTIFUL!

HAND AND LOCK PHOTOSET: CHERNOBYL #MADMAX
This year has been a very slow start for me, trying to get into the flow, with no money! I had already payed for The Hand And Lock Competition for 2015 but the brief of COUNTRIES, really baffled my mind! Literally threw me off parr!!!!! So in my creative mindset I decided to look deeper into the idea of countries! Rather than being really obvious and embellishing a Union Jack to a dress or some sort of flag or replica of a countries embellishments/embroideries I decided to look into disasters natural and man made and one that I have always found interesting is the Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster (NOW THIS WAS AN IDEA I CAN WORK WITH) So after a long process of bleaching, dying, studding, embellishing, burning, ripping, shredding, distressing, I created a beautiful outfit that stands out from most! LETS HOPE THIS MAKES ME A WINNER OR AT ATLEAST A REPICENT OF A PRIZE OF SOME SORT!!
