I am an outsider
I don't care about the in-crowd, no
Better off on my own now

I'm better off on my own now
“So many people limit themselves by holding onto that baggage. They cut themselves off at the knees. And for me, meeting my father, and seeing how he was, and seeing that other side of where I came from, allowed me to kind of ascend spiritually. Now not to get all hippy or anything, but, you cant realise your potential unless you LET yourself realise your own potential.”
- Corey Taylor, Kerrang Interview, 2009.

Gnarly song by some kickass dudes
What’s really goin on...
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
I only call you when it's half past five
The only time that I'll be by your side
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
When I'm fucked up, that's the real me
When I'm fucked up, that's the real me,
“You were all I saw, now you lookin kinda see through”
“when the streets turn quiet and the moon shines upon the city, i feel like i am the loneliest person on earth.”

School days from a parents perspective
I think I’m a younger parent than most. Between my wife and myself, we have 3 children. All girls. I have one from a previous relationship and she has 2 from previous relationships. Most times I do just fine when dropping my daughter off at school. She gives me a kiss and a hug, tells me she loves me and we both go our own ways for the day. And then sometimes, like today, I spend the length of time driving home in tears. It’s a mixture of pure joy and true pain. I’m sooo fucking proud of the young lady her beautiful soul is becoming. I never thought I could be so lucky. I certainly never thought I could love this way.
You see, I never understood those types of parents who practically celebrate and do a shuffle dance as they pack their children onto a school bus day after day after day. Those parents who say that is their “grown up/alone time”. I could spend EVERY waking moment with my baby girl and I would still miss her in my dreams. I would do anything, endure any pain, to take away one second of fright from her life.
Having children and having depression/anxiety makes some mornings harder than others. But I wouldn’t miss it for the world. ANYTHING you need baby girl, Daddy is always close by. I love you.
