Interpreting suosaku as those two friends who were definitely more but refused to acknowledge it and now everybody is witnessing the fallout...
Yeah, I mean it's hurt but Suo can bear to see Nirei's breaking down. But Sakura??? He can't bear to see Sakura's breaking in front of him. I mean maybe it's not romantic, but Suo defenitely feel his bonds with Sakura too. Nirei is his disciple, someone that he need to take care of, but Sakura is his buddy, someone that he can trust his back on.
I actually think it's more likely that Suo would shut down instead of having a dramatic breakdown or a huge crash out.
Anyways, we got to see Nirei crash out, we got to see Sakura Crash out and break down as well, it's turn to show us Suo doing like shit, please and thank you.
I'm convinced Suo is always doing badly to some extent but right now he's likely spreading himself impossibly thin and he can't stop thinking about what went down when he said goodbye and hating himself even if he "knows" it's for the better, Alexa play the ending of "Waiting Room" by Phoebe Bridgers.
Anyways, Suo suffering in 4K next so the twitter fandom (I know it's not all, sorry for all of you fighting this battle there as well) stops complaining that our main character is getting the focus (what a wild concept huh)
I was doing some more research for Suo theories and I just discovered that peregrine falcons (Suo's namesake) have traditionally been paired with cherry blossoms (Sakura) on woodblock prints and irezumi (Japanese tattooing).
I'm not okay
