usually what works for me is to say “do you want to a treat?” and they race to the kitchen. i go to the bathroom, and then i give them treats.

i have not figured out a way to solve this very real issue and i feel like a terrible fur mum because of it! the only thing i can suggest is moving and then trying to redeem yourself by offering treats!

it kinda sucked. like, way to start the day off well, right? and then i went ahead and made myself relieve the embarrassment by sharing the story. one might suggest that i’m a sucker for pain. she thought you were strange? are you sure she wasn’t just a little shook that captain america was talking to her? or was this before your marvel days?

what made you share? is it that sort of thing where you have to share, to try and relieve the embarrassment? oh no, she definitely thought i was strange. i got a real nasty look. but i did get a lot of dirty looks before my marvel days. perception is everything.

oh no! that’s horrible! i would’ve felt just as embarrassed if i were the driver, but i definitely wouldn’t have been snippy. things happen! i once went to talk to a friend at a park, tapped on her shoulder and started talking, only for it to not be her at all. the woman was confused, and thought i was very strange. oh well! only so much i can do.
