Veiled Love
They say love is blind. Can we really not see? Is our vision clouded? The moments seem to last a lifetime.
Never ending.
The longing, waiting, hoping.
Should the veil be lifted?
Should I take a peek?
A chance has been given but to taste it would be glorious.
Do I dare drink from the cup that has been given?
The time is near, crawling ever closer. Gently grazing against my fingertips. I can feel it, waiting for it to be in my grasp.
I must take care.
It is like porcelain, so fragile waiting to break.
Like a hurricane wanting to sweep me away.
Like sand where I sink deep.
Yet,
so strong not even death will steal it away.
This is where I have chosen to be and where I have been chosen.
Now finally, the veil is lifted.
