MOVING BLOG!

Decided to up and move to a new blog: @shamelesssnzblog !

I got tired of being a sideblog and not being able to follow and like, so finally bit the bullet. Won't take this blog down, but will be moving fics across, and all future stuff will be posted there.

Pray for my sanity as I try to organise myself and re-post all fic and art...

Toying with the idea of making a new blog that's not a sideblog, so I can actually follow people, and like posts and such, without it being from my vanilla blog (I know some people are okay with being followed/interacted with by vanilla blogs, but I know a lot aren't ... But it would mean having to move all my stories and art commissions and such over to a new blog... ... But it would finally force me to get my ass in gear and organize everything better Thoughts?

just havin a little thought about how frequently some people need to blow their nose. like, they have to or else they Cannot continue, or concentrate on anything. maybe they even get kinda bitchy or mopey if they don't. it doesn't matter that it's a temporary reprieve. it just has to happen either way. :')

coughing-related hurt/comfort is extremely underrepresented. more gentle, soothing coaching. more "get it all out." more backrubs and back pats. more attempts to get a sip of tea or water in there inbetween the wheeze of it all. more deeply undignified sounds, responded to with care and the unfazed expectation of witnessing the melodrama that comes with being the owner of a body.

My favorite micro trope in snzfics is when the healthy s/o uses their sleeve to wipe at the sickies running nose or eyes

Catching a cold while stargazing. The character's enjoying a romantic evening with their partner, both snuggled up close to each other as they lie on their picnic blanket, looking up at the night sky. One of them pointing out the constellation to the other, telling each other the myths behind them as the night hugs their little hide-out.

They are so engrossed in each other and their activity that they don't notice the mist creeping up around them. Suddenly, the warmth of the evening has vanished and the cold bite of a draft hits them. They reluctantly pack up and leave.

The next morning, it becomes quite clear that they left too late, for one of them wakes up to a sniffly nose and a tell-tale itch in their sinuses...

i’m sure i’ve said this before but like. it’s hot when someone sneezes and keeps their hand covering their nose for a bit longer and it’s either because they have a mess situation going on or they’re going to sneeze again

love the phrase "sneezing hard". i love a good harsh severe sneeze but i almost always hear this kind of phrasing used in the context of like, "i sneezed so hard i popped my back" or other similar things to express exactly how intense the sneeze was. and in that sense "intense" as an adjective can refer separately to the tickle being intense or the sneeze itself sounding/feeling intense, but to "sneeze hard" to me feels like all of the above together released in one huge toe-curling sneeze.

related, i love phrasing like "that makes me sneeze so bad."

a forest nymph, so fabled for her charms that she was cursed by the jealous love goddess to be desperately allergic to her own blooms. she may be beautiful, sure, but who would deign to take her in their arms when delicate springtime reduces her to a sneezing mess?

meanwhile, a gentle satyr who tried to court a pretty spirit, not knowing she was the favorite of the goddess of the hunt/protector of maidens. cursed! now whenever his prurient interests are aroused, he falls prey to bouts of uncontrollable sneezing. surely he'll be too busy wiping his nose and too blinded by itchy tears to ever clap eyes on another nymph again! besides—in that state, who would have him?
