FINAL PITCHING BLOG EXPERIENCE
This week, the team would say that we are proud of ourselves for completing the task; we may not have been chosen for the pitch competition, but we are still having a great day because we have learned things that we can apply in our future businesses. The unforgotten lessons that taught us to be better people than we wanted to be in the future. The experience is what we all owe our mentors, teachers, idols in business, and USTP for being behind this opportunity. This will inspire us by demonstrating that anything is possible if you are passionate about your project. Also, I would thank my friends, teammate, or classmate for being there and giving their all to take action on our project. They are not even thinking of backing out of this team and this project; they stand and confront the challenges without the statement "for the sake of grades." No one gives up because we all know that this is not just for grades; it is for the future. Last but not least, I'd like to thank everyone who believed in us and the project because without their help, we might have lost hope and become impatient in responding to our survey.
Technopreneurship thank you for teaching us to do blogs it really help us a lot that we now felt like that it is not bad at all to wrote on what you learned today.
UPDATES
The team consults on the overall idea of the project, the product, the target market, the pricing of the product, and the prototype functions because we need to think about whether this will be a friendly user application or the other way around. The team also needs to consider the complexity, conveniency, and efficiency of the application. That is why we conducted a survey among potential users to learn their thoughts on our prototype functionality and the project itself, so that we could learn the project's shortcomings.
THE ROLE OF GOVERNMENT & VARIOUS SECTORS (lecture series 3)
In this lecture, they tackled the connection between the government, various sectors, and business. The government provides educational opportunities for a living. In our youth, the public sectors provide us with entrepreneurial experience, allowing us to make specific discoveries about economic situations. The local government can also provide a startup ecosystem that caters to and matches the needs of the startup business; they can also assist the startup business in obtaining product supplies from other countries, such as Japan's industries. The DOST is also giving grants or aid of up to 5 million pesos for those startup businesses that can well represent the mandates that it would like to gather and to support other entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, the businesses need to take a proactive stance toward understanding and acting in accordance with federal agencies and regulatory acts, which will reduce their chance of facing fines, prosecution, or other action. Therefore, it is in the best interest of businesses to sustain healthy relationships with regulatory agencies at all levels of government. Among the business activities regulated by the government are driven practices, industry-specific activities, internet activities, general issues of concern, and monetary regulations.
CORPORATE & STRATEGIC ENTREPRENEURSHIP & GREEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP (Lecture Series 2)
They discussed how we will develop strategies and innovate the product this week. Putting more effort into creating more services for the people who want to avail financial services. Bringing the future beyond what you can expect for your product through some innovation. We need to identify innovations and manage resources. It needs to sustain the competitive advantages that will work against your competitor. But then it has a lot of risk to take into account, such as corporate structure and values (old and new), financial investment (cost vs. benefits), resource management (human and capital), and VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity).
In innovation vs. strategy by looking back and benchmarking the product to move forward while focusing on the critical timing and compatibility issue. This leads us to the two dimensions of strategic entrepreneurship, namely organizational ownership and resource authority. It also has four models of strategic entrepreneurship, which are: the enabler, where the company provides funding and senior executive attention to the project; the producer, where the company establishes and supports a full-service group with a mandate for corporate entrepreneurship; the opportunist, where the company has no deliberate approach to corporate entrepreneurship but they have entrepreneurial activities; The company strongly evangelizes corporate entrepreneurship, but business units provide the primary funding.
To make strategic entrepreneurship work, it needs to allow the employees to embark on innovative projects, have the "slash funds" to start and implement the projects, balance risks, and manage costs.
But then we need to relate to the vision and mission of each project.
ENTREPRENEURIAL FINANCE & VENTURE CAPITAL (Lecture Series 1)
This week, we learned how to obtain your product development, placement, promotion, and strategy price for your product, which must take into account your store-based pricing, which includes your location and certain costs. When looking for investors, keep in mind their preferences for a product that can scale and is unique. The product needs a unique selling proposition (USP) and friendly pricing.
Furthermore, the one thing I will learn from this lecture is not only about finances but also about how strong you are during the ups and downs of your product process because there is a good chance that you will lose the millions of dollars that you were supposed to earn as well as your friends.
TRACTION METRICS AND LESSON LEARNED
This week, the team gathered potential users for this project, which was not an easy task. But the team tried their best to interview and reach out to those people, and we saw that they are very busy people with jobs to do. The team is exhausted, but they are still emotionally supportive of one another. The team lesson that we must learn is to support each other no matter what happens, even if we are already tired and advise ourselves to relax for the meantime, take a nap, and then stretch out and brain storm again.
In the figure below, you can see our recent traction metrics.
MVP / PROTOTYPE
This week, the team will create a prototype that will describe the entire functionality of its application. In the video below, an overview of the application's features is given.
BMC Part 2 (Revenue Model)
This week, we will create our revenue model. And we are busy interviewing people for our project, with lots of difficulties that we already expected.
And this figure below is our business model canvas.
In terms of revenue, we have four plans when it comes to subscription and payment. My team talked about this according to the users' benefits. We planned to give users a two-month free subscription because the majority of our readers are students, and the author will receive a paid story after the free subscription for each user expires. If users subscribe to the premium service, they can get half of the books for free and the other half for a fee.
BMC Part 1 (Traction)
This week, we will build our traction and pages in order to gain insights from potential users. And if you would like to reach us, just click and follow this page. You may also fill up the Google form provided on this link. https://www.facebook.com/103442098841041/posts/105124422006142/?app=fbl
And this figure below is our traction.
Pre-pitching Blog Experience
This week, I realized how important this event is because everything we do every week to improve and get to know our potential users, customers, investors, and competitors is the best learning to give us a hint on how to make a better plan for our own business in the near future.
However, on some parts, it is quite difficult to find possible users to interview because they have their own businesses too, and we can't just make a clarification directly. But then we proceed to the final pitching.
So this is it good luck for our pitching. :)
Consultation Blog and Lecture Series
This week, our team received a wealth of information and other insights that will help our project become more reliable and significant. We tackled the common problem of our possible users, which is the difficulty in accessing books, the lack of availability of information on the internet, and the difficulty in finding reliable sources or different references or sources. And we came up with a solution that can solve the problem, which is an academic book mobile application that can handle both offline and online usage so that they can read the book anywhere, and we have a unique identity for our application because you can publish your own book under legal contract.
We also addressed in our product that this application can be freemium, which means free, and at the same time the user can buy a premium account to enhance their usability. Each user's free account is valid for up to six months. and also the other features of the application.
This is our target market of the project we make.
While this is our revenue model.
The possible competitors of our project.
CUSTOMER AND MARKET VALIDATION
In validating our product and market, we must ask a lot of questions of the possible users without really revealing our real motives in line with our project. Since this is a way to understand their needs and problems, We must know if this product is significant to the possible users' needs and a solution to their problems.
And we came up with ten questions: 1. How's being a student? 2. How's your study? 3. How do you cope with self-study in this pandemic? 4. Do you look for specific information on a particular topic? If yes, then proceed to question number 5. 5. Have you encountered difficulties in finding references for the specific topic, and if so, why? 6. Tell me about the last time you encountered that problem. 7. Why was that hard? 8. What have you done already to try to solve the problem? 9. What don't you love about the solutions you've tried? 10. Do you want any free books on the specific topic? Then why?
As we conducted the interview, we concluded that the final idea we have is worth pursuing because the students can get benefits from this application. And the students like the idea that there's an alternative way to help them in their research and other aspects.
The market size corresponds to the student budget.

TALKING TO THE USERS AND VALIDATING IDEAS
"Communication is powerful to spread information and understand each other."
We must communicate with potential users in order to understand their needs and what is impeding them.
We create some queries to validate these three ideas by creating questions that are related to our projects.
Then, as we gathered information about their needs and problems,
We came to the conclusion that the ideas would be helpful to potential consumers.
This validation is not only assisting us in validating our ideas, but also in improving them and learning more about their significance.
The feedback of the users is really helpful in discovering the possible implementation of this in reality.
Further, as we gathered the information, we encountered problems and difficulties because not all possible users were available.
They have work to do and a deadline to meet, though we recognize that this will be a significant challenge for our new innovation journey.
But we persevered because it was worthwhile, and it was satisfying to know that this was the new innovation that would benefit our community.
TEAM FORMATION
We are forming a team this week. We came up with a unique name for our team, and that is ITech.
Which means Intelligent Technology is the upgraded name of Innovation Technology.
The projects and ideas, on the other hand, are based on the rapid evolution of technology.
Our team consists of three people. Dignadice, our hacker is Jmaes Hans Baron, and his abilities and personalities are observant, virtuoso, and ISYP-T.
Then there's Barao, Romualdo III, our hulk, whose skills and personalities are dependable, adaptable, a defender, and ISFJ-T.
While I am your very own Rabadon and Christian Mae is a hipster, my abilities and personality are good in computer systems servicing (CSS), I am sociable, a logician, and I am INTP-A.
The team chose one of the top three ideas, "Bibibliophile," with the goal of assisting students who are unable to easily access the books in the library.
Solar Power Bank the goal is to reduce the inconvenience of using the electric power bank.
The goal of developing the Sari App is to alleviate the inconvenience of using handwritten records that will take time to locate.
PROJECT IDEAS
As far as I've seen and experienced, the cellular network is the most common use for the internet because it is cheaper and very handy. However, all of our cellular networks are disappointing because you can buy a cheaper sim card, but their load is too expensive, and that expensive load cannot justify the fast internet connection. They are all promising at first, but they just give me the idea that I am right and that promise is meant to be broken. In this case, my cellular network project is faster than their promise. You can buy it cheaper. Loading it is expensive, but then the 100-load expiration date is within a month. Unlike others, they only have 100 MB for 7 days but can't justify the internet connection. So you better think about it a billion times. This cellular network is suitable for all mobile phones, and you can insert it into the pocket wifi (a pocket wifi that looks like a flash drive) so you can insert it into your laptop.
There's no need to be concerned if you don't have a gadget. Because this printing machine is upgraded and very resourceful, it can help the teachers as well as the students because, now that it has been upgraded, it can print the modules very quickly. There is no need for expensive manpower because all you have to do is click the buttons to print and click to compile the file itself. This is also resourceful because the used papers are still usable. The printer has the ability to make used papers blank. (Definitely, there's no ink on the papers.)
This is for all book lovers who want to read, learn, and sell their old books. They can read in the book shop and buy books. They can learn how to write a book. They can sell their books to the book shop or trade for another book, depending on the status of the book. We have an app that collects information about people who want to sell or trade books as well as those who want to buy books from our shop.
