Jesus, today two thousand years ago you were-

Betrayed

Arrested

Wrongly accused

Blindfolded

Slapped, spat at, beaten with fists

Denied three times

Flogged, whipped

Jeered, mocked, insulted, ridiculed

Traded for a criminal/murderer

Stripped

Struck

Nailed to the cross, hanged on a tree

Abandoned, forsaken by Abba Father

Dead

Pierced

And I ask why? What for?

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Okay, I get it. But how can you do that for my sake? When I am a sinner and because I am a sinner I am unworthy as it is written:

1) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

2) For the wages of sin is death

I know. But don't forget what follows after:

1) and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

2) but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

That is why: "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

And so, back to your original question Franzz, "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

"For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

"He himself bore our sins" in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by his wounds you have been healed."

Now I understand Lord. Oh the power of love displayed on the cross! Unfathomable for me.

Lord Jesus, THE MESSIAH, thank you!!!

"May I have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God's devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it];"

"and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."

Now that I am a new creation, a sinner saved by grace, "may I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Just as you were nailed to the cross may my life be this way until the day of your return and we are reunited in your Kingdom: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

As I look at your cross Jesus, as if speaking to me, your voice whispered in my ear: "You did not choose me, but I chose you.

Indeed. Before I even knew you Jesus you have already loved me. Thought of me as you were tortured and nailed to the cross.

"We love because he first loved us. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."

"Jesus Christ laid down his for us."

Remember that and remember this small request from the other criminal hanging beside him: "Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom."

And Jesus replied, "I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise."

Once again, I look at the cross. This time I heard Him speak again: "It is finished."

"In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."

Etiquette for God's Princesses 11 Oct 2015 During the 4pm worship service, as the preaching about the 7th commandment was going on, I was kinda distracted thinking about this blog's title. It came about last Friday night while chatting with a newly met sister in Christ when I made a joke about a recently released local movie's title. So during the preaching I wrote down my notes of godly etiquette for God's princesses. Allow me to share the wisdom and insights God imparted to me. Etiquette #1) Be set apart. It all begins with your mindset. And you can only think and see yourself as a set apart woman or God's princess if you have a personal and growing relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us to be holy because our God is holy. To be holy simply means to be set apart. Once you are now in Christ, you no longer live on your own but it is Christ himself. You are now a new creation. The old, selfish, carnal and sinful you is gone. You are now wholly and totally transformed by and through God's amazing saving grace. You are now a daughter of the Most High God and a princess of the King of kings and Lord of lords. Act like a royalty that you are. #2) Be faithful. Your relationship with God determines and affects your relationship with others. God is faithful and He desires for us to be faithful also. Whether you are single (in or not in a relationship) or married, let's get ourselves in the daily habit of faithfulness in our hearts and in our minds. Let's keep guarding our hearts against all evil and pray for God's strength to endure and overcome any trial and temptation that comes our way. We women are born an emotional being. We need to be stronger in resisting whatever deceptions the enemy tries to throw at us. We are charged not to awaken love until it so desires. If you truly want your God's best then obey and follow God's command. Speaking a little bit more from personal experience, let us also guard our eyes and our ears. Just because a guy appears and he seemed to be the perfect package deal does not guarantee that he is the one. The nonnegotiable standard must remain as such. Do not be unequally yoked. Do not lower your standards. Do not compromise your faith and your purity. Remain spiritually tenacious. And do not be complacent also. There's no such thing as harmless. Once the enemy finds your greatest weakness beware and be careful. He is going to attack you severely through it. So always examine yourself, your heart and your motives. You may be playing innocent but deep inside you are already sinning with covetousness. The enemy is the father of lies and master of deception. That's why learn and practice always to be faithful to God. Also, so as to avoid sinning, treat men older than you as fathers and those younger as brothers with absolute purity while keeping yourself morally pure too (1 Timothy 5:1-2). #3) Be Confident A confident woman finds her strength in God alone and knows her true worth because of God. For years I have struggled with issues of LOW: self-esteem, self-confidence, self-worth, and self-respect. And a whole lot of insecurities. But once I learned of God's love for me I have learned to get over them. Not immediately but it's a daily process even up to now. The girl who once hated herself so much to the point of attempting to end her life now believes and loves the woman she has become in Christ. Always see yourself from God's eyes. God loves you that much that He was willing to send His Son and be put to death for your sins. So how can you not love your own self too? On another matter, if you are single and unattached, be confident to walk alone at the moment or even for the rest of your life. If God hasn't given you a lifetime partner yet maybe it's because you and him are not yet ready for the commitment or that you are just better off single and alone. It's for your own good. So don't have a pity party for yourself. Walk confidently in the Lord and live life happy and to the fullest. #4) Be Prayerful This is self-explanatory. Wouldn't it be nice if during your wedding you can testify to everyone that your groom and husband forever is an answered prayer? And what a great way to glorify God too. #5) Be Modest Modesty is the new sexy. It is your best fashion statement ever. How to be modest? Read 1 Peter 3:1-6. But aside from your outward appearance it is also what's inside. Your inner beauty. You heart. Your attitude. Be modest. Be humble. #6) Be Loving and selfless Read 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and 1 John 4:10-21. A true disciple of Christ is known by the way she loves God and others. If God can love us inspite of our sins and shame, who are we not to overlook and forgive the sins of others? Even our own selves. #7) Be prepared Like Esther. Like the wise virgins in the Parable of the Ten Virgins. I read in a book that while you are in the waiting room, do something useful and beneficial. Be productive. Learn how to cook. Learn any or all household chores. Your season of waiting is your season of preparation too. So get busy improving and/or acquiring your skills. This also includes your godly character development. Personally speaking, you also need to prepare yourself emotionally, mentally, physically, socially and economically. (As much as possible don't get married with debts.) #8) Be a servant Like Rebekah. Read the entire chapter Genesis 24. The best way to meet your godly prince is through ministry. But I'm not suggesting you join a ministry for this purpose alone. That's wrong. What I'm saying is that through serving others you can best assess/ measure the man's love and devotion to God. Is he sincere in what he is doing? Does he also have a heart after God's? And remember, God is your matchmaker. The one He chooses for you has to be from among His princes, present and active in His courts. Now that's a match made in heaven. #9) Be submissive It is not always easy to yield to God's will but if you learn to submit to His will and His sovereignty over you it, will not be hard to submit to your husband's authority. Read Ephesians 5:22-25. #10) Be a virtuous woman Let Proverbs 31 be your guide. The woman is actually not a real woman but all about wisdom. In our day and age where immorality has become the norm, rise above and be different. Be wise. Be godly. "A woman who fears the LORD is greatly to be praised." Let your Christlikeness be the thing that attracts a man toward you. Make him curious and interested and maybe even pursue you because of your love, devotion and faithfulness to Jesus. I am far from perfect and honestly I find some points I wrote hard to do. But that's how God wants His princesses to be like. He isn't requiring perfection from us but obedience and loyalty. Hopefully these etiquettes will inspire me and help me to be the woman God planned for me when He created me. And all God's princesses say AMEN.
