I switch on and off... Snapchat goes & comes in waves sometimes its like im on there everyday and then ill not use it for a month... I dislike facebook more and more but Instagram is kind of the constant one I like going back too :) Tumblr is fun too, im just still kind of getting into it!

So... I’ve had a few friends who’ve gotten floral tattoo sleeves, and I have this theory. I feel like the whole floral pattern thing is kind of a fad? Like even on clothes, floral patterns have BLOWN up the fashion industry these past two years. BUT, if it is a fad, like the whole Aztec pattern fad, do you think people who get floral pattern tattoos will still like them as much after the “fad” is done? I mean I know people have gotten tattoos of roses and things since forever, but I think it’s kind of different when its a pattern. I’ve seen a few people with the whole Aztec type pattern tattoos and it’s kind of awkward... like that was my t-shirt 3 years ago... What do you THINK?
Militarized police pointed their guns at an empty house for hours this afternoon, while community members talked down suspect who had run to nearby church. [part seven/]

The three hour police standoff in Ferguson this afternoon ended with a SWAT team finding the house to be empty. The man they were searching for, named Lorenzo, had escaped to a nearby church, where people there spoke with him and convinced him to turn himself over to the police. Lorenzo, who is schizophrenic, is currently receiving mental health attention.

I THINK -- this is awesome that the man trusted the church enough to run there & that the church trusted the police enough to convince Lorenzo to turn himself in. I’d really like to see the church working more with local law enforcement to try and have peace in our cities.

“It’s better to feel pain than nothing at all” -- Do you agree? So many people I know toy with death because they’d rather feel nothing than pain. Drugs, sex, violence, & alcohol are the most common pain relievers I know of. The BEST pain reliever though is a personal relationship with Jesus. At least from my personal experience. Everything else is just a temporary fix. You need to keep running back to “it”, but somehow “it” continues to draw you deeper into un-fulfillment. Jesus is eternal.
Most people have never read the bible all the way through. Even “christians” who supposedly believe in God’s word, have never completely read the whole bible. An old Chinese guy I really like once said “Dirty bible, clean heart.” He told stories about how they had to rip apart sections of the word and hide them with different families in hopes of even keeping a few pages away from communist China back in the day. We are so blessed to be able to have God’s word so accessible to us today. I’m grateful to those who paid with blood, buying us the freedom we have today. Let’s enjoy it while it lasts.

This is currently my song that describes my thoughts in a melodious & lyrical way. I get stuck on songs for a few weeks at a time. It’s always songs that really hit me where I’m at but then, like other things, you usually can move on and forget about it.
RANT.
I’m cool with social media with people I don’t know but I’m stinking sick of people who want to be “friends” hiding behind social media. Some people need to stop hiding behind thier phones/labtops/tablets/imacs and just be real fracking people without the sharade. I know you don’t always cook gourmet meals or go to concerts everyweekend… why not just be real with what your life is like instead of just showing all the cool things that YOU think will get you more likes. Maybe I want to know what you actually like to do for fun, instead of what you want people to think you like to do for fun. Also — if your not going to return my phone calls or talk to me face-to-face don’t like my stuff or comment on my stuff… that just makes me want to delete you. Stop hiding behind the walls of social media and let real relationship be primary, and internet ones be secondary.

Ahhh So much of the time I HATE trust. It's so scary, especially when you want to have everything planned out. God has been taking me on a major journey of learning to LOVE trust. Once you get past the fear it's SO exciting to see how God will lead & provide. Not saying I've arrived but I've def jumped off a few cliffs recently -- and right now I'm having the TIME OF MY LIFE filming a movie in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Something I never would have gotten to film if I hadn't TRUSTED GOD with my future.
If this is true -- our world is in for a shock...
