What an afternoon. What a quiet release of summer time!

I made lemongrass ginger pork to serve with stir fry veggies from the blackstone. KV is doing the hot dogs for the kids.

I did a week of grocery shopping, prepping for school to start this week.

It’s going to be terrible!! But it’s only Sunday so we have until Wednesday to truly face the whole truth of it.

We watched Rookie of the Year as a family Sunday afternoon movie.

And OMG.

What. A. delight.

If you have an ~8 and ~12 year old. This movie is great!!!

I know me and KV are 90s kids but still: 90s teen / preteen movies were the best era.

After a little humid spell this back deck is killing me. And the butterflies in the zinnias. Just spectacular.

We got to pick Wyatt pieces from his Pokemon pottery class today! He was supposed to make a mug but he ended making a “cookie jar” but I’m just taking it as a statue. I’ll put it on the fireplace mantel with his Calvin Coolidge, axellettle and the firecracker skull from a few years back.

I told KV we should hang the Pokemon ball plate in his bedroom.

I just think it’s neat! To have a kid who is interested in art! Good for him!!

I had drinks with my former boss and a former coworker and they are like “my job is great I am so glad I left”

And I am like “well I don’t drown myself every day so I think I am doing better”

The budget numbers are in: and boy are they GRIM.

Going to be a tough 2027.

I do not envy the unemployed right now (I mean ever obviously but etc etc.)

Wyatt and I are rating some salt water taffy tonight.

Orange Creamsicle was hands down the most disgusting. But chocolate was a close second.

Sherbet, Bomb pop, and pina colada were my fav.

Watermelon was a sneaky positive for Wyatt.

The mystery was some sort of caramel. And we agreed that a salt water taffy shouldn’t just a caramel.

KV has access to restaurant supplies stores through his work and I have the most insane things showing up.

Wyatt and I are rating some salt water taffy tonight.

We went and saw the Odessy with Wyatt as we shipped all the other kids back to my parents/brother, Langston included.

I wasn’t sure if I would like this in the first 30-40 minutes but I ended up loving it. I really agree with my brother which his opinion was that he liked and it was very Nolan visioned. Having seen it I agree. And like that vision.

How are people having 4-6 kids.

My god.

I mean love and adore, but no.

I could not be happier after this week that my brother is over and is here to talk.

I love yapping!!!!
