At first, I wasn’t too sure how these were going to work. I’ve tried many others in the past that smeared and didn’t even last 6 hours. The Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink lip colors were impressive to me. I did my full face makeup as usual yesterday, and I first applied the Lover color, which is very pretty mauve, pink color. I have medium colored skin, so I’m always hesitant about which colors are best for me. Lover looks amazing with my skin tone. After that one dried up on my lips, I used bio oil to take it off, and it worked real fast to removed it and was a clean removal. Then I put on Pioneer on my lis, which is the beautiful, classic red color. That one looked beautiful with my skin tone. Not too dark and not too bright. It was perfect! When I opened the lip colors, they smelled so yummy, almost a sweet scent. They did, however, have a sticky feeling, but did not smear when I pressed my lips together. The color surprisingly stayed in place! Although it does dry up fast, it did give my lips a dry look. I then decided to wear it 16 hours straight to see if the color truly did last 16 hours. I kissed my hand, I got color on my hand, but you couldn’t even tell on my lips that the lip stain on my hand was from my lips. Problem was, water alone doesn’t not remove it off of your hand. Lotion worked fine. During the 16 hours, I napped, ate, drank water, kissed my baby on the cheeks (no lip stains or smears then), stayed matte, and I even slept through the night with the lipstick and even though little got on my pillow case there was little to no smears on my face and it all stayed in place! So yes, I DO RECOMMEND THIS!!!! I even tried using the Walmart version of the Neutrogena oil free eye makeup remover and it worked but it didn’t, it took some off, but mostly just smeared it. Only use oil based make up remover, lotion, or bio oil to take your lip color off.
