◤ ♚ · ˚ . feet kicked up on the bar of the valmont inn as a cigarette dangled between his lips, johnny’s eyes scanned the room before turning to the person next to him with a grin. “could you believe that fucking moron told me to put my cigarette out?” he said, pointing to the bartender as he took a drag from the cigarette, blowing the smoke into the air. “i told him, listen buddy, when your name is the name plated in twenty four karat gold all over this place, then you can tell me to put my cigarette out. some people just don’t have any respect for authority.”
❝Oh I agree, you’ve never had any respect for authority...❞ Chris told his younger brother shaking his head. He fought the urge to pluck the cigarette from Johnny’s lips and dump it on the glass sitting on the counter. Sometimes he wondered if his brother did things just to spite him. He wanted to tell him to get his feet off of the bar, but he knew that was a fight he was not going to win, the last thing he wanted was to cause a scene. ❝Seriously Jon?❞ he asked still managing to sound surprised despite knowing his brother well, ❝that’s what we pay them for, to keep a nice environment for all our guests❞ Chris pinched the bridge of his nose, ❝are you only telling me this to upset me?❞
